The quarterfinals of the women's heavyweight single boat event this time have 4 rounds with the participation of a total of 24 rowers and Pham Thi Hue will compete in the 2nd round.
She will compete with rowers from Mexico, the Netherlands, Germany, Paraguay and independent athletes. The three rowers with the best performance in each quarter-final competition will win tickets to Semi-final A to have a chance to compete for medals, while the remaining rowers will enter the final qualifying group.
This is the first time Pham Thi Hue officially competes at an Olympics and she is aiming to reach the Semifinals.
If she can do this, Pham Thi Hue will become the first Vietnamese Rowing player to achieve the above achievement in a single boat event in the Olympic arena.
