Striving for double-digit GRDP growth rate for the city.

Kinhtedothi - Recognizing that 2025 will be a year with a very large workload, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh requested that units and localities strive to achieve the highest possible growth targets set; aiming for a double-digit GRDP growth rate for the city.

On the afternoon of December 16th, the Hanoi People's Committee held a conference to implement the socio-economic development plan, budget estimates, total administrative, public service, science and technology staffing, and launch the emulation movement for 2025.

Tran Sy Thanh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee, and Chairman of the Hanoi City People's Committee - Chairman of the City's Emulation and Commendation Council - presided over the conference.

The leaders of Hanoi City attended the conference.

Attending the conference were Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong; Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the City People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan - Deputy Head of the City's National Assembly Delegation; Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Secretary of Thanh Xuan District Party Committee Bui Huyen Mai; Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ha Minh Hai; Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Vu Thu Ha; Deputy Head of the City's National Assembly Delegation Pham Thi Thanh Mai; and Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City Pham Anh Tuan.

Delivering a directive speech at the conference, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh emphasized that 2025 is the final year of the five-year plan, with many major national anniversaries and the implementation of many important policies of the Party and State. The Hanoi People's Committee requested that leaders of departments, agencies, and the People's Committees of districts, counties, and towns maintain unity and cohesion from the grassroots level to the city level; and continue to change perceptions and thinking regarding the performance of professional tasks and work.

Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh - Chairman of the City's Emulation and Commendation Council - delivered a speech and launched the emulation movement for 2025.

Furthermore, 2025 is the year for organizing Party Congresses at all levels and summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017, of the 12th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam on "Some issues concerning the continued reform and restructuring of the political system's organizational apparatus to be streamlined, effective, and efficient." Therefore, leaders of all units must have a clear and thorough understanding and mindset during the implementation process to create momentum for the successful completion of the 2025-2030 term.

Recognizing that 2025 will be a year with a very large workload, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh requested that units and localities do a good job of building and perfecting institutions and policies, and adopt a different approach to implementing internal processes in order to strive to achieve the highest possible growth targets. The goal is to achieve double-digit GRDP growth for the city.

Furthermore, focus on effectively implementing the work with the highest determination and greatest effort. Prioritize building and creating even stronger breakthroughs in the synchronized urban infrastructure system, focusing on building the public transportation system, especially the urban railway system. Continue to institutionalize and effectively implement the 2024 Capital City Law and the two major planning schemes of Hanoi.

Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh also requested that localities and units make thorough preparations for activities commemorating major holidays in 2025.

“With only two weeks left until the end of 2024, localities and units must continue to focus intensely and direct the implementation of decisive solutions to complete the goals and targets of the 2024 plan, with a focus on budget revenue collection and disbursement of public investment capital. At the same time, thorough preparations must be made in all aspects to serve the people so they can celebrate the New Year and the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake (2015) joyfully and safely,” emphasized Chairman of the People's Committee of Hanoi City, Tran Sy Thanh.

At the conference, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh also launched a nationwide emulation movement and called on all officials, civil servants, employees, and workers to promote the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, intelligence, discipline, creativity, and to strive to complete and exceed the socio-economic tasks and targets for 2025.
