From the brand "Phan Thiet"...
When mentioning Phan Thiet, many tourists immediately think of this coastal region famous for its beach tourism, Phan Thiet fish sauce, fresh seafood, and dishes with a distinct taste of the sea. Among these, Phan Thiet sun-dried squid was once featured by the food website TasteAtlas in a group of highly-rated squid dishes, helping to bring this local specialty closer to both domestic and international tourists.
After being merged into a ward, this area now also preserves the name "Phan Thiet" - the central area in the southeastern part of the province with many attractive tourist destinations. These include: the Duc Thanh School historical site, the Ho Chi Minh Museum, the Phan Thiet water tower, Van Thuy Tu, Thanh Minh Temple, Thuong Chanh Park, and Doi Duong Beach… In addition, the ward also has the Phan Thiet transport port, allowing tourists to cross the waves and venture out to sea to the Phu Quy special zone to explore and experience the "pearl island" by speedboat.
Located in a central position and serving as a trading hub, Phan Thiet also boasts a concentration of traditional markets, supermarkets, convenience stores, and various services such as food, transportation, and logistics to support its increasingly developing tourism industry . Among these, Phan Thiet Market, Nguyen Hue Street, Trung Nhi Street, the food court on Pham Van Dong Street along the Ca Ty River, and a section of Tuyen Quang Street are all must-visit destinations for tourists seeking to shop and enjoy a diverse range of delicious seafood dishes.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Quy, Head of the Culture and Social Affairs Department of Phan Thiet Ward, said that the locality currently has many unique festivals reflecting the rich cultural life of the coastal community, such as: the Trung Nguyen Kien Tieu Nghinh Ong Quan Thanh De Quan Xuat Du Festival, the Cau Ngu Festival, the traditional boat racing festival on the Ca Ty River… Among them, the ward is coordinating research to gradually elevate the Trung Nguyen Kien Tieu Nghinh Ong Quan Thanh De Quan Xuat Du Festival of the Chinese community and the Cau Ngu Festival of fishermen in the fishing villages, aiming to build them into distinctive cultural and tourism products, contributing to enriching the series of summer tourism activities in the area in 2026.
To connect and develop tourism
To maximize the potential and advantages of Phan Thiet ward and promote its comprehensive development, the local authorities have considered developing trade and services in a modern, friendly, and sustainable direction. Simultaneously, they aim to enrich marine tourism products and continue researching and developing a night-time economy model, contributing to expanding development opportunities and increasing the attractiveness of Phan Thiet to tourists. Accordingly, they aim to create night-time food, shopping, and entertainment streets, night markets linked to promoting OCOP products and famous local seafood specialties…
With a relatively convenient external transportation system, Phan Thiet ward also has the opportunity to connect to the Mui Ne National Tourist Area (total area approximately 14,760 hectares) through Phu Thuy ward and Mui Ne ward. This is because it is one of the three main development centers of the Mui Ne National Tourist Area, which is oriented towards development according to the model: 1 coastal corridor - 3 centers - multi-directional access. In particular, the route from Phan Thiet ward to the gateway to the Mui Ne National Tourist Area at the intersection of Vo Nguyen Giap and Nguyen Thong roads is very convenient for tourists.
Locals exercise and tourists swim at Doi Duong beach.Conversely, tourists can enjoy a high-class resort experience with 4-5 star accommodations, participate in water sports and recreational activities on the sand dunes at Mui Ne National Tourist Area, or easily travel from Phan Thiet Airport to the center of Lam Dong province for sightseeing, shopping, and culinary experiences. In particular, the Le Duan and Nguyen Tat Thanh roads, connecting Le Loi road and the coastal road, have been identified in the planning as important transportation arteries, playing a role in connecting the central commercial, service, and tourism space of the ward with coastal areas, Mui Ne, and neighboring destinations. In addition to land-based tourism routes, a sea-based tourism route is planned for the future, involving the construction of a marina at Phan Thiet Port connecting Mui Ne National Tourist Area with domestic and international sea-based tourism routes.
Commenting on the direction of local tourism development, Mr. Tran Nguyen Loc, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Phan Thiet Ward, said: “Phan Thiet Ward has determined that tourism development must be linked to preserving cultural identity, improving service quality, protecting the environment, and building the image of a civilized and friendly coastal city. The locality will continue to coordinate with departments, agencies, businesses, and the community to gradually form distinctive tourism products, connecting the center of Phan Thiet with Mui Ne, Phu Quy, and other destinations in the province. Through this, the Phan Thiet brand will spread more strongly in the new development space of Lam Dong province.”
During the 2025-2030 term, the Phan Thiet Ward Party Committee has set forth several key tasks and solutions to promote rapid and sustainable economic development while protecting the environment. Specifically, in the tourism sector, the focus will be on mobilizing resources to invest in infrastructure serving the tourism development strategy, especially urban transportation; investing in the renovation of coastal parks and public beaches in a modern and environmentally friendly direction. Along with this, the quality of services will be improved, tourism products will be diversified, and the natural and social environment will be preserved. Coordination will be carried out effectively in the project for a Marine Tourism and Sports Center, while also promoting various forms of tourism promotion and marketing.
