On the substitutes' bench, Modric sat silently, his eyes filled with disappointment as he watched his teammates concede goals so quickly. Beside him, Lucas Vazquez also looked dejected. The image of these two players sitting silently with pensive faces clearly reflected the mood of the Real Madrid fans present in the stadium.

This was not only a painful defeat for Real Madrid, but also a sad milestone, as both Modric and Vazquez played their last game before leaving the Royal team.

Previously, Modric had agreed to join AC Milan in this summer's transfer window. However, the Croatian international proactively requested a postponement of his medical examination with Milan, in order to fully focus on his final days with Real Madrid at the FIFA Club World Cup.
