Building upon the complementary advantages of the three previously separate regions, the province has achieved many outstanding results in various fields. The province's economy has maintained its recovery momentum, and its economic structure has shifted in a positive direction.
GRDP growth in 2025 is projected at 5.84% amidst numerous challenges; the service sector will continue to play a key driving role with growth exceeding 8%. The economic structure is shifting in the right direction as the proportion of the non-agricultural sector, especially services, increases; the quality of growth is gradually improving, reducing dependence on purely agricultural activities.
In addition, the collective economy is given priority, and support for businesses and investors continues to be strengthened, contributing to maintaining confidence and promoting capital flows into the locality.
The province has implemented numerous activities to promote and attract investment, most notably organizing trade and investment promotion delegations to Japan, South Korea, and Hong Kong; participating in domestic investment promotion forums, conferences, seminars, and workshops; and issuing a list of 153 projects calling for investment in the fields of industry, agriculture, education, culture-tourism, trade and services, and renewable energy.
By the end of 2025, the province will have 954 active investment projects with a total registered capital of VND 265,421.81 billion and USD 5,832 million (including 188 FDI projects with a total registered capital of USD 5,832 million). As of January 2026, the province will have 12,637 active businesses with a cumulative registered capital of nearly VND 199,400 billion.
The above results demonstrate a clear transformation in the leadership, management, and implementation capabilities of the province's socio-economic development tasks, especially in the context of the newly merged province.
This is an important basis for strengthening the confidence of the people and businesses, creating high social consensus; at the same time, it creates a solid foundation for the goal of high and sustainable growth in the next phase, especially the target of GRDP of 10% or more, contributing to enhancing the competitiveness and attractiveness of the province in the region.
Leveraging strengths and advantages, aiming for rapid and sustainable development.
Presiding over the Government's Standing Committee meeting to assess the situation during the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 and implement key tasks after the Tet holiday (February 22nd, the 6th day of the first lunar month), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated that the tasks for 2026 are very challenging.
The Prime Minister reiterated the objectives of ensuring macroeconomic stability; controlling inflation; promoting growth; ensuring major economic balances; effectively controlling the state budget deficit, public debt, government debt, and foreign debt; improving the material and spiritual lives of the people; maintaining national independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and enhancing the country's position; and ensuring security, order, social safety, and people's well-being.
Emphasizing the need to get to work right from the first day, the Prime Minister requested the urgent submission and issuance of a Prime Minister's directive to expedite the implementation of key tasks after Tet, with the spirit of "celebrating Tet briefly, starting work early, and getting straight to work" in accordance with the Party Central Committee's directive.
