The film "War Without Borders" revolves around Lieutenant Colonel Trung, an outstanding soldier who has just been assigned as the Commander of the Muong Luong Border Guard Post. He and his comrades guard the border day and night, fighting drug trafficking and smuggling, and carrying out many other specialized tasks to help improve the lives of ethnic minority people.
Another storyline is that of Hieu, Trung's younger brother, who was initially rebellious but gradually matured during his military service in a naval unit. The image of the two brothers, Trung and Hieu, one guarding the border and the other protecting the nation's seas and skies, symbolizes the soldiers of the Ho Chi Minh Army in the new era.

The film "War Without Borders" was produced to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army. According to Major General Le Xuan Sang, Deputy Director of the Propaganda Department, General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army, after watching the first episodes, it is evident that the production team has invested a great deal of effort. The content and images in the film are simple, realistic, and reflect the difficulties, hardships, and sacrifices of army officers and soldiers in the task of building and defending the Fatherland. Through this, it is hoped that the film will be well-received by the audience, helping them to better understand the lives and work of army officers and soldiers today.
The film crew also revealed that, in order to create the spectacular training scenes with numerous heavy equipment and weaponry that were so realistic and impressive, the film received cooperation and manpower support from the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army.
The film "The War Without Borders," which aired from September 11th, directed by Nguyen Danh Dung, tells the story of border guards in their arduous battle against drug criminals. This is the next work from the director of "Go Home, My Son," "Life Is Still Beautiful," etc. The film features a cast of actors beloved and highly regarded for their talent: Meritorious Artist Hoang Hai, Viet Anh, Ha Viet Dung, Thu Quynh, To Dung, and others.
The film's main setting is primarily in Moc Chau district, Son La province. The film crew worked in rather rugged and difficult terrain. Director and Meritorious Artist Nguyen Danh Dung affirmed that authenticity was paramount, and all equipment and props used in the film were real.
The 40-episode series "The War Without Borders" will air at 9 PM from Monday to Friday every week on VTV1, starting September 11, 2023.
