As expected, the Vietnamese box office has entered the bustling phase of the summer holiday season. The past three days of the weekend (May 30th to June 1st) witnessed an incredibly exciting race.

According to statistics from the independent box office website Box Office Vietnam, Doraemon Movie 44: Nobita and the Adventure into the World in the Picture Book has proven its appeal since its official release.
The film was given the highest number of screenings, with 8,370 showings and over 358,000 tickets sold, grossing over 34.4 billion VND.
Including revenue from early screenings and the official release on May 23rd, the film has now surpassed 110 billion VND in revenue.

As a film with a 45-year-old brand and the advantage of being aimed at a family audience, it's no surprise that it completely dominated its competitors at the box office, including a Vietnamese animated film released at the same time, "Cricket: The Adventure to the Muddy Village ".
Vietnam's first purely Vietnamese 3D animated film ranked 4th on the box office charts last weekend. Specifically, the film grossed over 6.2 billion VND with nearly 67,000 tickets sold and 1,890 screenings. As of the morning of June 2nd, the film had reached a total revenue of nearly 6.6 billion VND.
Last week, the action blockbuster Mission Impossible 8 : The Last Judgment , starring Tom Cruise, officially premiered in Vietnam. The film grossed over 15 billion VND with 130,367 tickets sold and 3,877 screenings.

The third spot on the box office revenue chart also belongs to another animated film , Lilo & Stitch live action, with revenue of nearly 9.5 billion VND.
This past week, nine out of the top 10 highest-grossing films in Vietnam surpassed the 1 billion VND mark.
The horror film " Borrowing a Soul to Possess a Body" grossed nearly 2.4 billion VND.
Yadang: Three Sides of the Same Thing - a South Korean action-comedy film - grossed over 1.8 billion won.
This past week, the box office also welcomed a new Vietnamese film – the horror film "Five Ten" – but it had rather modest revenue, reaching only nearly 1.4 billion VND.
Two Vietnamese films released during the April 30th holiday, " Flip Face 8: The Sunny Embrace" and "Detective Kien: The Headless Case," are still holding strong at the box office.
Currently, the total revenue of Detective Kien: The Headless Case has reached approximately 246 billion VND. Flip Face 8: The Sunshine Bracelet has reached a total revenue of 230 billion VND.
This week, Vietnamese box offices welcome a series of new films across various genres.
Notably, the Vietnamese horror film "The Bottom of the Lake " will be released to audiences from June 6th.
At the same time, there were also other films: "Falling in Love" (comedy/romance); the action film "From the Universe: John Wick: Ballerina "; the horror film "The Devil Bride" ; the romantic comedy " Love You... Thank You" ; the suspense/psychological thriller "Selling Gods and Saints "; and the animated film "Little Bear Team: Traveling Around the World ".
