Below is the score distribution for the Chemistry subject in the 2026 high school graduation exam, as announced by the Ministry of Education and Training:

The average exam score was 6.28, only slightly higher than last year; the most common score achieved by candidates was 7.5.
Overall, the distribution of scores in Chemistry this year is skewed to the right, with nearly 40% of the exams scoring 7 or higher. Only about 22% of students scored below 5, and only 12 students received failing grades.
412 students achieved the maximum score, which is more than 200 fewer than last year.

Last year, the average score for Chemistry was 6.06, with 625 perfect scores (10 points) nationwide, and no candidates received a score of 0. Over 70,000 papers scored below average, accounting for 29.5%, higher than in 2024. Meanwhile, nearly 34% of papers scored 7 points or higher.
In the 2026 High School Graduation Examination, each candidate will take four exams, including two compulsory subjects (Mathematics and Literature) and two elective subjects from the remaining options. Chemistry is an elective subject.
This year, 254,000 candidates nationwide registered to take the exam, an increase of nearly 8,000 compared to last year.

After receiving their exam results, candidates who still have concerns can submit an appeal at the exam registration points. The appeal period is 5 days, from July 1st to 5th. The examination boards will continue to grade the appeal papers and announce the results no later than July 20th.
Then, from July 2nd to 5 PM on July 14th, candidates can register their preferences, adjust, or supplement their application preferences. During this period, candidates are allowed to make multiple changes, but must complete them before the deadline.
Before 5 PM on August 13th, universities and colleges will announce the results of the first round of admissions.
Notably, this year all candidates, including those applying for direct admission, must confirm their online registration on the Ministry of Education and Training's general admissions support system or the National Public Service Portal. Furthermore, applicants must meet the condition of achieving a minimum score of 15 points across three subjects in the High School Graduation Examination.
