(NLDO) - The Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh City has requested other preschools to learn from this experience in picking up and dropping off children, always paying attention to ensuring the safety of the children.
On the afternoon of March 14th, leaders of the Education and Training Department of Ha Tinh City announced that they had just reported to the Ha Tinh Provincial Department of Education and Training about the incident in which a 16-month-old boy was run over and killed by a parent's car in front of the Tuoi Tho Kindergarten in Tran Phu Ward, owned by Ms. Phan Thi Tr. (born in 1990).

Accordingly, immediately after the incident occurred, the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh City came to assess the situation.
The report states that on the morning of March 10th, Ho Bao L. (16 months old) was brought to Tuoi Tho Kindergarten by her mother and handed over to teacher Phan Thi Tr. Ms. Tr. received L. and took her to the classroom for breakfast.
At that moment, Ms. Tr. saw Ms. Thai Thi X. bringing her child and went to greet her, without noticing that L. had already run outside.
Afterward, Ms. X. was driving the car when she hit L. Upon discovering the incident, Ms. Tr. and the other teachers ran out, pulled L. out from under the car, and notified L.'s parents.

L. was taken to Ha Tinh Provincial Hospital for emergency treatment by relatives and teachers. Afterward, the hospital transferred L. to Nghe An Children's Hospital (Nghe An province). At 6:20 PM the same day, Nghe An Children's Hospital discharged L., and she died at 3 AM the following day.
Immediately after the incident occurred, the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh City requested the People's Committee of Tran Phu Ward to temporarily suspend the operation of the aforementioned childcare facility.
"Following this unfortunate incident, the unit has requested other childcare groups to learn from this experience in picking up and dropping off children, always paying attention to ensuring the safety of the children. We have requested wards and communes in the area to strengthen inspections and remind childcare facilities. All matters related to this incident must await the conclusion of the police investigation," - a leader of the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh City informed.
The Tuoi Tho Preschool Group was established according to Decision 158 dated October 10, 2023, of the People's Committee of Thach Linh Ward (now Tran Phu Ward), located at No. 9, Alley 247, Vu Quang Street, Tran Phu Ward; with a scale of 1 class and the number of children as prescribed.
