The brocade weaving group in Ea Súp commune currently has 15 members, including 5 artisans and respected community leaders who directly teach the craft to 10 young apprentices. Artisan H'Sun Siu, who has been involved with the loom for over 30 years, shared: "Weaving is not only about creating beautiful fabrics, but also about teaching our children and grandchildren to appreciate hard work and to preserve the identity of our ethnic group."
Weaving classes are held in the evenings on weekdays, allowing women to learn the craft while participating in production. The Women's Union of Ea Súp commune directly manages and supports the provision of raw materials and connects members with product consumption, helping them feel secure and committed to the craft in the long term.

Having attended weaving classes since the beginning, Ms. H'Kem Siu shared: "Before, I mainly worked as a seasonal laborer, with an unstable income. Since learning brocade weaving, I can stay home to take care of my children and weave fabric to sell as an extra income, making my life more stable."
During the apprenticeship, the artisans meticulously guide each step, from selecting the yarn and dyeing to creating patterns. Every weave and every motif reflects the cultural beauty, soul, and spiritual life of the Gia Rai women. In addition, the group's meetings provide an opportunity for the women to share experiences in production, business practices, family care, and economic development.
It takes about a month of meticulous work to complete a traditional brocade outfit. The products are sold directly at the artisans' homes and through the Women's Union of the commune, which connects and introduces them to customers. Each brocade outfit costs about 7 million VND, featuring exquisite designs that reflect the ethnic identity while still being suitable for modern tastes.
Currently, many brocade products such as scarves, handbags, wallets, traditional shirts, decorative rugs, etc., have been showcased at fairs and border markets and promoted on social media, attracting the attention of consumers and tourists. On average, members of the weaving group earn an additional income of 2-3 million VND per month, contributing to improving their living standards.

According to H'Bun Mi Siu, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Ea Súp commune, restoring and developing the brocade weaving craft is not only about preserving a traditional craft but also contributes to creating jobs, increasing income for women, strengthening community bonds, and spreading love for ethnic culture.
“From the simple looms in the villages, the skillful hands of Gia Rai women are weaving vibrant brocade fabrics day by day. Each product is not only the culmination of diligence and creativity but also embodies pride in their ethnic cultural identity and the aspiration to rise up and take control of their lives,” emphasized Ms. H’Bun Mi Siu.
It can be seen that the Ea Súp Commune Brocade Weaving Group model is a practical approach, demonstrating the creative and proactive spirit of the Women's Union of the commune in implementing the "Women's Entrepreneurship - Sustainable Economic Development" movement, contributing to building a more prosperous and culturally rich Ea Súp homeland.
