Attracting over 22 trillion VND in investment capital in the first 6 months of the year.
In the first six months of 2026, Quang Tri province continued to maintain positive growth momentum with many socio -economic indicators achieving favorable results. Total budget revenue in the province is estimated at approximately 6,895 billion VND, equivalent to 54.6% of the central government's allocated budget; the disbursement rate of public investment capital as of June 30th reached over 35% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister.
The investment environment continues to improve as the locality attracts 28 domestic projects with a total registered capital of over VND 22,379 billion and 3 FDI projects with a total registered capital of over USD 148 million.
Simultaneously, Quang Tri province has completed the adjustment of its provincial planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050; and accelerated the progress of key infrastructure, energy, and transportation projects. Many key projects such as the Quang Trach Power Center, My Thuy Port Area, Hai Lang LNG Power Center, industrial zones, National Highway 15D, the coastal road, Nhat Le 3 Bridge, and many other important infrastructure projects are being prioritized to overcome difficulties and accelerate progress.

According to provincial leaders, these results not only create momentum for economic growth but also serve as a foundation for Quang Tri to continue innovating its governance methods, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of its administrative apparatus, and resolutely implementing the province's action programs to carry out the resolutions and conclusions of the Central Committee and the directives of General Secretary and President To Lam during his visit and working session with the Standing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee in June 2026.
Currently, the province is focusing on supplementing, adjusting, and perfecting regulations and action programs with specific goals and targets. In particular, it is applying specific and clear criteria to shift from qualitative assessment to assessment based on products, results, impacts, and verifiable data, in line with the spirit of the 14th National Congress Resolution of the Party. At the same time, it is vigorously promoting digital transformation in all areas of Party building work, linked to the goals of national development.
Evaluating employees using KPIs, with work results as the benchmark.
Along with the task of economic development, the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee will implement a set of tools for measuring and evaluating work performance (KPIs) for officials, civil servants, and public employees throughout the entire political system.
KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) are a system of performance metrics that quantify the level of task completion by each individual through specific criteria. The application of KPIs shifts the evaluation method from one primarily based on qualitative feedback to one based on task performance results, thereby enhancing objectivity, transparency, and accountability among staff.
Accordingly, each official, civil servant, and public employee will be assigned specific goals, targets, and tasks right from the beginning of their term of office. The results of their performance will serve as the basis for evaluation and ranking, as well as for planning, appointment, rewarding, or considering accountability for those who fail to complete their tasks.

Quang Tri Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Phuong stated: “ Currently, we are in the process of reviewing, evaluating, and ranking for the second quarter. All quantified tasks will be included in the evaluation results. Important indicators will clearly reflect the level of task completion by each individual; if performance is not good, it will be reflected in the evaluation and ranking results.”
The application of KPIs is expected to bring about a transformation in personnel management, using work efficiency as a measure, contributing to improving the quality of the workforce, increasing management effectiveness, and creating a foundation for Quang Tri to effectively achieve its socio-economic development goals in the new period.
In the first six months of the year, Quang Tri province's economy continued to grow, with positive structural shifts; the agricultural, industrial, trade, service, and tourism sectors maintained their development momentum. The investment and business environment improved; many bottlenecks and delayed projects were addressed; and the provincial planning adjustment for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, was completed. Social welfare was ensured, people's living standards continued to improve; national defense and security were maintained, and foreign relations activities were implemented effectively.
