The National Assembly holds a question and answer session.

(MPI) – According to the 8th Session Agenda, Congress XV session, in two days 11-November 12, 2024, the National Assembly held a question and answer session on banking sectors; medical; information and communication. As expected, the Minister Ministry of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung and Ministers of several Ministries will participate in explaining related issues.

Opening remarks at the question and answer session, President of Congress Tran Thanh Man said that the questioning activities at this session continue to be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Supervisory Activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils; making questioning activities increasingly become an important highlight of each National Assembly session.

Based on the synthesis of issues that National Assembly deputies, voters and people are most concerned about at this Session, 03 groups of issues that the National Assembly will question and answer are under the responsibility of 03 Ministers and Heads of sectors including: Governor of the State Bank; Minister Ministry of Information and Communications; Minister Ministry of Health. Also participating in the explanation were the Deputy Prime minister Goverment in charge of the field and relevant Ministers and Heads of sectors. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will represent the Government to clarify issues related to the Government's operations and directly answer questions from National Assembly deputies at the end of the questioning session.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man stated that the spirit of the 10th Central Party Committee Conference as well as the speech of General Secretary To Lam At the opening session of the Conference, it is necessary to create a breakthrough in the year 2024 and the year 2025. This goal must be achieved with the highest determination, the greatest effort, drastic actions with the most effective solutions, striving to achieve and exceed the set goals. This is the responsibility of the Party and the State before the People, bringing the country into a new era with the will and belief in the strong development future of the country.

In 2024, the situation world, the region is developing rapidly and complicatedly; our country's economy is suffering from "double impacts" from external unfavorable factors and internal limitations and shortcomings; epidemics, natural disasters, storms and floods are extremely severe, especially storm No. 3 and the floods after the storm have caused great damage in some provinces and cities in the North and Central regions. However, our country's socio-economy still achieved positive results, as reported by the Prime Minister at the opening session of the Session.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man suggested that National Assembly deputies closely follow the Resolutions of the Party, the National Assembly, and the Government on socio-economic development and the scope of the questioning content of this Session to objectively assess and carefully consider the difficulties and challenges of the domestic situation and the regional and world context; analyze and properly assess the positive aspects, shortcomings, and limitations and propose practical, feasible, and effective solutions and tasks. The National Assembly will vote to pass the Resolution on questioning activities at the end of the Session as a basis for agencies to implement and also as a basis for the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee, National Assembly agencies, National Assembly delegations, and National Assembly deputies to supervise. At the same time, through the questioning of National Assembly deputies, Ministers and heads of sectors will have more information to perfect effective solutions in directing and operating, creating real changes in each management area.

Building on the success of previous question-and-answer sessions, along with the spirit of innovation, new momentum, and new determination of the Session, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man believes that with the intelligence, high sense of responsibility, and practical work experience of the National Assembly deputies, the question-and-answer sessions will take place in an exciting, democratic, and constructive spirit, with a lot of information reflecting the current situation, with many proposals, recommendations, and suggestions for the Government, Ministers, and Sector Heads in directing, managing, and operating, overcoming limitations, difficulties, and obstacles in reality, all for the socio-economic development of the country, improving the material and spiritual life of the people./.
