The third live show of Vietnam Idol drew attention with an interesting interaction between My Tam and contestant Lam Phuc. Choosing the song "Gió đánh đò đưa" (The Wind Blows the Boat), Lam Phuc scored points with his sweet voice and handsome appearance. Lam Phuc shed his "ballad prince" image, showing his confidence compared to the shyness he displayed in previous rounds.

Lam Phuc's performance delighted the judges and the audience.

In particular, at the end of the performance, the contestant presented judge My Tam with a fan, accompanied by the lyrics, " Do you want to get married yet?". My Tam immediately responded humorously, "I'm really looking forward to the day I get married." The female singer even jokingly added, "With this fan, can I get married?" which drew continuous cheers from the audience.

Mỹ Tâm praised Lâm Phúc's confidence on stage this time. However, Lâm Phúc still didn't handle the song well, as he still retained elements from previous rounds.

My Tam humorously responded when asked, "Do you want to get married yet?".

This isn't the first time My Tam has been asked about getting married. In a television program, My Tam stated that she no longer sets deadlines for getting married after doing so many times.

"When I was 20, I set a goal to get married by 25, then postponed it to 27, then around 30, and finally 35. But before reaching 35, I realized I was wrong from the start. I don't need to search for happiness through a wedding; I need to find happiness in my own life."

"I no longer set deadlines for getting married. My parents often ask why I don't do anything about it. And I reply that I'm very happy, and as long as they're happy, that's all that matters," My Tam said.

As a singer who is quite private about her personal life, My Tam rarely shares details about her significant other. However, she believes: "You don't need to get married; you just need someone who loves you. Living together is enough; you don't need to get married, right?" For My Tam, "when you meet someone, that person is already your husband, so you don't think about getting married anymore."
