This robot, named AquaRover, was developed by a research team at the University of Malaysia (UM) to combine technology and sustainability.

AquaRover can monitor and perform many tasks such as ensuring water quality, automatically cleaning the water surface, removing organic waste and leftover food.

The robot is equipped with high-precision sensors that monitor important water parameters such as pH, temperature and ammonia concentration. The data is transmitted in real time, allowing farmers to take timely disease prevention measures and maximize feeding time, thereby helping fish stay healthy and produce higher yields.

This also helps to reduce labor shortages and operating costs, while maintaining sustainability. According to Dr. Archina Buthiyappan, the team leader, worked directly with fish farmers and came up with a suitable solution.
