From January 28th until now, the number of customers buying Seng Cu rice and glutinous rice has been very high, showing that consumers are increasingly concerned about product quality and origin,” Ms. Sen said.

Ms. Pham Thi Trang, a union member of Hoang Hai Vietnam Packaging Joint Stock Company, from An Truong commune, was surprised and delighted when, after only 4 months of working at the company, she received Tet gifts and shopping vouchers worth a total of 1.2 million VND from the city's trade union.
Ms. Trang's husband suffers from a serious illness. She is the primary breadwinner for her three young children, and their lives are still very difficult. "This is my first time attending the Trade Union Tet Market, and I find the goods abundant, the prices reasonable, and it fully meets my family's Tet shopping needs. Programs like this are truly practical for workers," Ms. Trang said.
The appeal of the Hai Phong Trade Union Tet Market extends not only to union members and workers but also to a large number of city residents. Ms. Vu Thi Bich Ngoc from Gia Vien ward said that the prices are reasonable, with some items even cheaper than supermarkets, while the quality is guaranteed, so she feels very secure. The Hai Phong Trade Union Tet Market 2026 will be held in two phases: phase 1 from January 28th to February 1st at the Vietnam-Czech Friendship Labor Culture Palace; phase 2 from February 4th to 8th at the Center for Legal Counseling and Support for Workers (facility 2), aiming to create favorable conditions for union members and workers to participate in shopping.
Comrade Nguyen Anh Tuan, Chairman of the Hai Phong City Federation of Labor, emphasized that, with the motto of focusing on the grassroots and placing union members, workers, and employees at the center, all levels of the Trade Union have identified caring for the lives of union members and workers as a central and continuous task.
Organizing the Trade Union Tet Market is a way to concentrate resources and help union members and workers celebrate Tet warmly and joyfully; it also creates conditions for workers to proactively choose and purchase essential and suitable goods.
As part of its activities to support the 2026 Lunar New Year, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor is providing Hai Phong with 8,250 vouchers, each worth 500,000 VND, to help disadvantaged union members shop at the online "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026"; distributing 16,000 New Year's Day gift packages, each worth 1 million VND; and organizing free motorcycle oil changes for 6,600 union members and workers.
On the occasion of the 2026 Lunar New Year, the City Labor Union continued to distribute 20,000 Tet gifts (1 million VND/gift) to union members and workers facing difficulties, including those working in arduous and hazardous conditions; and provided 49,444 bus tickets, each worth 200,000 VND, to help migrant workers return home to reunite with their families.
The City People's Committee also provided 11,800 gift packages, each worth 1 million VND, demonstrating the city government's concern and care for workers in the area.
Within the framework of the "Tet Reunion - Spring Gratitude to the Party" program in 2026, the City Federation of Labor Unions will distribute 3,000 gift packages, each worth 500,000 VND, combined with cultural and artistic activities to create a warm and cohesive atmosphere for union members and workers; and distribute 5,000 vouchers for direct purchases at the Hai Phong Trade Union Tet Market, each worth 200,000 VND, to help cover Tet shopping expenses.
In particular, 2,424 gifts, each worth 1.5 million VND, were presented to employers and business owners to acknowledge their support and cooperation in ensuring employment, income, and the well-being of workers.
The Hai Phong Trade Union Tet Market 2026 is not just a simple buying and selling activity, but also a highlight rich in humanitarian significance, clearly demonstrating the role and responsibility of the Trade Union organization, the joint efforts of businesses and the government in caring for the material and spiritual lives of union members and workers.
