Mr. Hoang Long - a tourist from Thua Thien Hue province

“We are retired police officers from Hue City, and today we are making a pilgrimage to the birthplace of President Ho Chi Minh. Ten years ago, I visited here, and returning this time still fills me with emotion. The Kim Lien Historical Site has many beautiful and clean landscapes. Stepping into this space, everyone feels the memories associated with Uncle Ho's childhood. This is where he was born and lived his childhood; this rural area bears the imprint of his footsteps.”

Returning to this place, my siblings and I are truly happy to stand before Uncle Ho's family's thatched house, witnessing the simple, familiar items such as the bamboo bed, hammock, table, chairs, bowls, plates, and loom that were once associated with the members of Uncle Ho's family. We are happy to be back at the place where a great man, a world cultural figure, and a great leader of the Vietnamese nation was born.

We are proud that President Ho Chi Minh and his family members were once closely associated with Hue. His father, Nguyen Sinh Sac, taught in Hue. In his youth, President Ho Chi Minh and his older brother, Nguyen Sinh Khiem, followed their father to Hue to live and study; he graduated from Hue National School. His mother, Hoang Thi Loan, passed away in Hue and was buried on Tam Tang Mountain by the Perfume River before being brought back to her hometown for burial.

Regarding the Kim Lien Historical Site, we are extremely grateful to Nghe An province for preserving, restoring, and promoting the cultural heritage related to President Ho Chi Minh. Upon returning to Hue, we will continue to educate our children and grandchildren to remember President Ho Chi Minh's homeland and forever cherish his contributions.”

Ms. Pham Nhi Hong - a tourist from Hoa Binh province

“I have visited President Ho Chi Minh's hometown many times, but each time I come, the feeling is like the first time. Because this is where President Ho Chi Minh was born, and it holds so many memories of his childhood. Coming here, I always feel a surge of sacred emotion and a deep sense of nostalgia. I always believe that visiting President Ho Chi Minh's hometown is returning to my roots, to the most beloved President of the Vietnamese people. Therefore, whenever I have the opportunity, I always arrange to make a pilgrimage here.”

The thatched house, the small garden, and the cherished mementos will remain deeply etched in the hearts of those who have visited. And it's impossible to hold back tears at the sight of the simple loom of Uncle Ho's mother, Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan…

Every time I visit Uncle Ho's birthplace, upon returning to Hoa Binh province, I often share my feelings with family, friends, and colleagues. Therefore, many people are longing to return here, to their roots, to Lang Sen village, to the thatched house where Uncle Ho was born…”

To commemorate the 133rd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth, our school organized a trip for our students to visit his birthplace. The plan was developed several days in advance, so in recent days all the children have been excited and eagerly awaiting this trip.

Just before departure, unfavorable weather conditions led the school leadership to consider postponing the field trip. However, seeing the expectant and disappointed expressions of the children, along with the support of their parents, the school leadership decided that the trip would still proceed.

Upon entering the Kim Lien Historical Site, we were delighted by the warm and attentive welcome from the staff. Having visited President Ho Chi Minh's birthplace many times, I am always deeply moved. This visit was particularly special, as I was accompanied by five-year-old students, most of whom were visiting for the first time and were very excited. As the staff member explained the site, the children listened attentively, paying close attention to every word.

In class, the children have been introduced to stories about Uncle Ho through their teachers' narratives and videos, so many of them already know something about him and his hometown. But coming here and directly witnessing the village scenery, the small thatched houses, and the simple and rustic objects has truly brought them so much benefit and a fascinating experience…”

Mr. Truong Long Thanh - a tourist from Binh Thuan

“I am a son of Binh Thuan province, and I have traveled a long distance to the homeland of our beloved President Ho Chi Minh. Since childhood, I have always dreamed of visiting Nghe An at least once, to see President Ho Chi Minh's birthplace firsthand, to witness the scenery, the thatched houses, the hammocks, and the looms… But due to work commitments and family circumstances, this is the only time I have had the opportunity to travel to the North and visit President Ho Chi Minh's hometown.”

My hometown is far from Nghe An, and conditions are still difficult. Many people want to visit Uncle Ho's birthplace but haven't had the opportunity. When my relatives, friends, and neighbors learned that I was going to visit Kim Lien, they advised me to observe the scenery in Uncle Ho's hometown carefully so I could tell everyone about it and take lots of photos for everyone to see.

Upon arriving here, I was deeply moved by the explanations of the staff at the Kim Lien Historical Site. With their expressive voices, they guided visitors back to the childhood years of President Ho Chi Minh, to the warm and intimate atmosphere of the family of Deputy Scholar Nguyen Sinh Sac. After this visit, upon returning to my hometown, I will forever cherish the images and impressions of President Ho Chi Minh's birthplace.
