On the morning of November 27th, Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien inspected and conducted a final rehearsal of the organization of the Vietnam International Defence Exhibition 2024 at Gia Lam Airport.

On the morning of November 27th, Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Member of the Central Military Commission, and Deputy Minister of National Defense , inspected and conducted a general rehearsal of the organization of the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 at Gia Lam Airport, Phuc Dong Ward, Long Bien District, Hanoi.

This is an important event aimed at promoting Vietnam's defense capabilities and strengthening international cooperation in this field.

According to information from the Vietnamese Ministry of Defence, with the approval of the Prime Minister , the Vietnamese Ministry of Defence will organize the Vietnam Defence 2024 International Defence Exhibition (VIET NAM DEFENCE 2024) from December 19-22, 2024 at Gia Lam Airport.

The exhibition spans over 100,000 square meters, with 15,000 square meters of indoor display space and over 20,000 square meters of outdoor space. To date, hundreds of companies and businesses from 36 countries have registered to participate, including Vietnam, the Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Serbia, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Finland, Belarus, Bulgaria, Italy, Germany, Turkey, India, Iran, Japan, South Korea, China, Israel, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Cambodia, the UAE, the United States, and Brazil. The indoor display area has doubled compared to the 2022 exhibition.

Within the exhibition area, the Organizing Committee will set up a Vietnamese Cultural Space and an exhibition area showcasing "Achievements in Building the People's Armed Forces and the National Defense System." Here, visitors will be introduced to the traditions and achievements of 80 years of building, fighting, and maturing of the Vietnam People's Army, as well as the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day. In addition, economic and defense products, the results of digital transformation from military agencies, units, and enterprises, along with typical products from ministries, sectors, localities, organizations, associations, economic groups, and businesses will also be displayed.

The main activities at the exhibition include the opening ceremony at 9:00 AM on December 19, 2024, performances by the Vietnamese Air Force, Special Forces, and Border Guard Dogs, as well as seminars, signing ceremonies, and exchanges between visiting delegations and partners. The exhibition will be open to the public from 1:00 PM on December 21, 2024, until the end of December 22, 2024, featuring many unique art programs and cultural displays.

This exhibition provides an opportunity for domestic and international defense businesses to showcase and introduce combat vehicles, technological solutions, weapons, and equipment used by the Navy, Army, Air Force, cyber warfare, and logistical and technical equipment. Vietnamese products displayed at the exhibition include those researched and manufactured by agencies and units of the Ministry of National Defense.

The exhibition also aims to diversify channels for cooperation in procurement, technology transfer, and promoting Vietnam's defense industry capabilities. This event will take place concurrently with activities commemorating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day, creating a highlight of international significance.

According to information announced by Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien at the general rehearsal, as of now, 53 international delegations from 36 countries, along with defense enterprises, have registered to showcase combat vehicles, technological solutions, and modern weapons.

The exhibition will be open to the public from 1:00 PM on December 21, 2024, until the end of December 22, 2024, featuring many unique art programs and cultural displays.

At this morning's dress rehearsal, after watching the performance, Deputy Minister Hoang Xuan Chien agreed with the main framework of the program, and also made minor adjustments related to each participating team.

"According to the assigned functions and tasks, I request the Organizing Committee to direct the subcommittees of the agencies and units to continue organizing rehearsals and perfecting the script to ensure proficiency, close coordination, professional actions, and a dignified and respectful technical presentation for the successful exhibition," General Hoang Xuan Chien instructed.

The exhibition is expected to attract 53 international delegations from 36 countries and many high-ranking domestic leaders, along with defense businesses showcasing combat vehicles, technological solutions, and modern weapons.
