In less than a month, the 2023 high school graduation exam will officially take place. These days, high schools with boarding students are brightly lit, supporting students in their exam preparation.
Regularly, from Monday to Friday evenings, after finishing their afternoon review classes for 12th-grade students and a hurried dinner, the teachers at Bat Xat District High School No. 2 continue their work of reinforcing students' knowledge. We arrived at the school during the students' self-study period; the classrooms were brightly lit, and each classroom had a teacher in charge.

Ms. Phan Thi Le Quyen, a geography teacher at High School No. 2 in Bat Xat district, said: "Although my house is 10 km from the school, I regularly come to school every evening with the desire to accompany and help students consolidate their knowledge and prepare mentally for the exam. Besides focusing on reviewing and supplementing knowledge, we also provide psychological counseling and share with students to reduce academic pressure, thereby improving the effectiveness of their revision."

Although not a boarding student, Hoang Thi Lan voluntarily registered to participate in evening tutoring sessions with her classmates. Hoang Lan said: "Intensive tutoring is more effective than self-studying at home. In the evening class, we work together to solve practice questions, and if we don't understand something, we can ask each other or get support from the teacher."
Tan San May, a student in class 12A1, shared: "Time is running out, we have to try our best. Evening study sessions are precious time that helps me gain more knowledge and prepare for this important exam in my life. During the day, after studying in class, in the evening we review the knowledge we've learned, revise lessons, or ask teachers for support and clarification on things we don't understand."

As a boarding school, the Provincial Ethnic Boarding High School has a very convenient system for organizing evening tutoring sessions for its students. Although evening classes are voluntary, the students maintain the same discipline as in regular classes, without needing reminders from teachers, because they are aware that there isn't much time left until the graduation exam. During self-study time, they gather in groups in designated areas, discussing and solving exercises.

Focusing on solving math problems, Nguyen Khanh Linh, a 12th-grade student from the Provincial Ethnic Boarding High School, shared: "Because I chose the D02 subject group, I need to strengthen my math knowledge even more. My classmates and I have divided into groups of 4-5 people each to buy online review courses on Facebook. With this method of studying, we can develop our teamwork skills and help each other improve."

Although teaching evening classes with students is a duty, the teachers do it voluntarily, stemming from their love for their students. Besides reviewing material, the teachers also regularly spend time with and care about the students' well-being, both mentally and materially. With the support of these teachers, we believe the students will confidently enter the high school graduation exam and achieve high results.
