HoSE boss resigns to study abroad

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE), based on the approval of the policy of the Vietnam Stock Exchange, the Chairman of HoSE issued Decision No. 66 on Mr. Nguyen Vu Quang Trung's resignation from the position of Deputy General Director of HoSE to study abroad for a limited period. The decision takes effect from November 4, 2023.

Mr. Nguyen Vu Quang Trung was born in 1974 and graduated with a master's degree in financial economics from the University of New South Wales (Australia). Before taking up his position at HoSE in August 2017, he worked at many financial institutions such as the State Bank, the State Securities Commission and the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX).

After Mr. Trung resigned, the remaining personnel of HoSE's executive board include Ms. Tran Anh Dao - Deputy General Director in charge and Ms. Ngo Viet Hoang Giao - Deputy General Director.

Previously, in September 2023, there were rumors in the market about the resignation of HoSE leaders. Immediately after that, HoSE leaders spoke up to confirm that the rumors were not true.

However, the stock market on September 22 still fell sharply. Even in the following days, the VN-Index fell sharply and continued its downward trend until the end of October .
