The State Council of Professors has announced the list of candidates recommended by the Councils of Professors in each field and interdisciplinary fields for consideration for recognition as Professors and Associate Professors in 2024.

The latest list includes 598 candidates (public list) recommended by the Council of Professors in each field and interdisciplinary fields for consideration for recognition as Professors and Associate Professors in 2024. Previously, this list included 673 candidates.

In 2024, the Vietnam Aviation Academy had only one candidate for Associate Professor. That candidate was Bui Nhat Vuong, from the Economics department.

According to the 2024 recognition of eligibility for the title of Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Nhat Vuong was born in 1990 and hails from Tinh Hoa commune, Quang Ngai city, Quang Ngai province.

Candidate Bui Nhat Vuong was awarded a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, specializing in Business Administration, in 2013 from Saigon University.

In 2016, this candidate received a Master's degree in Business Administration, specializing in Business Management, from the University of Finance and Marketing.

In 2020, the candidate received a PhD in Business and Management, specializing in Administration/Management, from the National Institute of Development Management, Thailand.

Regarding his work experience, Dr. Bui Nhat Vuong stated that from March 2024 to the present, he has been the Deputy Head of the Business Administration Faculty at the Vietnam Aviation Academy.

From November 2022 to March 2024, he was in charge of the Science and Technology and International Cooperation Department at the Vietnam Aviation Academy.

Since November 2022, he has been a member of the Editorial Board of the "Journal of Aviation Science and Technology" at the Vietnam Aviation Academy.

From June 2021 to the present, he has been in charge of the Human Resource Management Department, Faculty of Business Administration, Vietnam Aviation Academy.

From June 2020 to June 2021, the candidate was a lecturer in the Department of Aviation Transport, Vietnam Aviation Academy.

And from September 2016 to the present, he has also been a visiting lecturer at the Faculty of Management, Binh Duong University of Economics and Technology.

The higher education institutions where candidate Bui Nhat Vuong has lectured include Tay Do University, Binh Duong University of Economics and Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages ​​and Information Technology, and University of Finance and Marketing.

The only candidate for Associate Professor at the Aviation Academy in 2024 has two research areas: human resource management and customer behavior.

Regarding training and scientific research results, as of June 2024, candidate Bui Nhat Vuong stated that he is supervising 4 doctoral students who are completing their dissertations on schedule; he has supervised 4 master's students who have successfully defended their theses and 4 others who have obtained master's degrees.

Mr. Bui Nhat Vuong has completed 6 research projects at the grassroots level and above, including 3 as the project leader and 3 as a project member; he has published 47 scientific articles/reports, of which 29 are in prestigious international journals.

The number of published books is 1, and there is 1 international chapter in the book.

The titles and awards that candidate Bui Nhat Vuong has received include: Emulation Soldier at the grassroots level 2020-2021, 2021-2022, 2022-2023; Outstanding Academic Advisor 2021-2022; Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Transport 2021-2022; Certificate of Merit from the Trade Union of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam 2021-2022, Certificate of Merit from the Trade Union of the Vietnam Aviation Academy 2021-2022, 2022-2023; Certificate of Merit from the Vietnam Aviation Science and Technology Association 2022-2023.

In the 2024 application for recognition of Associate Professor status, candidate Bui Nhat Vuong stated that, in his role as head of the Science and Technology and International Cooperation Department, he made significant contributions to the development of regulations and operational procedures for the department; supported, commented on, and evaluated science and technology projects at all levels; supported scientific research activities; and organized international conferences and specialized workshops. He actively participated in seeking connections with international partners and expanding the educational network between the Vietnam Aviation Academy and universities abroad. Furthermore, he served on the editorial board of the Aviation Science and Technology Journal as the Head of the Secretariat and a member of the board. In 2023, the Journal was assigned an ISSN. Moreover, he actively participated in the process of writing the self-assessment report at the institutional level. The candidate, together with the Department of Science and Technology and International Cooperation, successfully completed the tasks for the 2022-2023 academic year.

As the Deputy Head of the Faculty of Business Administration, in charge of the Human Resource Management department, the candidate developed a proposal to open a new major and successfully launched the Human Resource Management program. The candidate has been and is currently responsible for training activities in the undergraduate Human Resource Management program and the master's degree program in Business Administration. The candidate has also actively participated in writing self-assessment reports for the undergraduate and master's degree programs in Business Administration.
