- On the afternoon of June 26th, the Provincial Military Command held a conference to review military and national defense work during the first six months of the year and to deploy tasks for the last six months of 2026. Attending the conference were: Colonel Dang Van Tuan, Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 1; Colonel Mai Xuan Phong, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Commander of the Provincial Military Command; and representatives from several provincial departments, agencies, and armed forces.

According to the report presented at the conference, in the first six months of 2026, the Provincial Military Command comprehensively advised on and implemented local military and national defense tasks; strictly maintained combat readiness, ensured security and safety for important political events; completed 100% of the troop recruitment targets; effectively carried out training, exercises, force building, national defense and security education, regularization, discipline management, digital transformation, and logistics and technical work. Party and political work were implemented synchronously; military and military-related policies and regulations were fully implemented.


For the tasks in the last six months of 2026, the provincial armed forces will continue to effectively implement military and national defense tasks; improve the quality of training and combat readiness; build a strong and comprehensive force; promote digital transformation, build a regular and disciplined force; effectively carry out civilian affairs work, military rear-area policies, and prepare for the 80th anniversary of the founding of the provincial armed forces.

During the conference, delegates focused on clarifying the achievements in military and national defense tasks during the first six months of the year; analyzing the difficulties and obstacles arising during implementation, especially after the implementation of the two-tiered local government model; and proposing solutions to improve the quality of military and national defense tasks in the last six months of 2026.
Speaking at the conference, Colonel Dang Van Tuan, Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 1, acknowledged and commended the achievements of the provincial armed forces in carrying out military and national defense tasks in the first six months of 2026.

The comrade suggested: Party committees and commanders at all levels of the provincial armed forces should continue to thoroughly understand and strictly implement resolutions, directives, and conclusions of higher levels regarding compliance with laws and discipline; and strictly maintain the order and procedures of party work and political work. To improve the quality of formal construction, discipline management, and meet the requirements of the tasks in the new situation.
The comrade requested: The provincial armed forces must strictly maintain combat readiness, closely monitor the situation, promptly handle any incidents, and avoid being caught off guard; they must also play a key advisory and core role in carrying out combat exercises in the commune-level defense zone in 2026.
In addition, we will continue to effectively implement the program for searching, collecting, and identifying the remains of fallen soldiers; effectively carry out policies and support for the military; accelerate administrative reform, digital transformation, ensure information security and network security, and strive to complete the military and national defense tasks for 2026.
