On the evening of December 1st, the official website of MGN Vikings Esports (MVKE) and SofM officially announced the team's new jungler. Accordingly, Le Quang Duy (SofM) will return to play as the jungler for the organization he founded. Thus, after more than 1,000 days away from the professional scene, the "jungle god" of Vietnam is once again returning to the stage.

In fact, during this period, SofM had a brief stint playing when the VCS league was embroiled in a match-fixing scandal, losing half of its players due to misconduct. However, the aforementioned player only "filled in" to maintain the organization during this difficult period. He also played in the support position in two matches, instead of his usual jungle role.

In this return, SofM will take on the official position at MVKE, replacing Gury, who played throughout the 2025 season but didn't stand out. After leaving Weibo Gaming of China in 2022, SofM took on many behind-the-scenes roles. He co-owned Vikings Esports when the team returned to the professional scene. Additionally, SofM held coaching positions at various stages. He also served as the head coach of the national League of Legends team, competing at the 2023 Asian Games.

"Looking back on the important milestones of my life, I realize that League of Legends has always been an inseparable part of me. And today, when the organization and the team members need an experienced person by their side, SofM wants to live his passion to the fullest once again."

There were times when SofM doubted his own abilities, doubted the reasons why he wanted to return. But life only gives you a few decades, and especially having dear friends has given him the motivation," the player wrote on his official Facebook page.

Starting his professional career at the age of 14, the player born in 1998 is one of the most successful Vietnamese gamers in history. Besides domestic titles, SofM has also achieved success internationally, leaving a significant mark in the LPL (Chinese Super League). His highest achievement was finishing as runner-up at the 2020 World Championship.

SofM's MVKE is currently one of three Vietnamese representatives competing in the LCP, the Asia- Pacific Championship. The past year was an unsuccessful one for domestic teams. MVKE failed to win any significant titles and missed out on spots at both MSI and Worlds.

The addition of SofM to the roster is a major upgrade for the Vietnamese organization. Beyond his role as the tactical mastermind, his skills and ability to analyze matches remain at a high level.
