• Discover the process of raising crabs in Ca Mau.
  • Celebrating the value of Ca Mau crab as a local specialty.
  • Opening Ceremony: A culinary showcase featuring delicious dishes made from Ca Mau crab combined with specialties from 34 provinces and cities.

The competition brought together 32 teams, including youth union members, young people, organizations, cooperatives, and local residents. Each team brought their healthiest and most agile crabs to compete on a race track designed in a folk style, which was both exciting and required skill in selecting and "training" the crabs, including an element of "luck" when the crabs didn't obey.

The organizers divided the race into four lanes for each round, selecting the lane that finished first to advance to the next round.

The Organizing Committee awarded a total of 7 prizes, including 1 first prize, 1 second prize, 2 third prizes, and 3 consolation prizes. With their experience and skills in selecting healthy crabs, the Huy Thinh Cooperative team excellently won first prize. This team also won first prize in the "Speed Crab Race" competition within the framework of the 1st Crab Festival in 2022.

The competing teams experienced a mix of excitement and suspense until the very last minute.

Beyond its entertainment value, the "Legendary Crab Race" also contributes to promoting the image of Ca Mau crab, one of the famous specialties of the southernmost region. It's also an opportunity for Ca Mau's youth to showcase their dynamism, creativity, and role in preserving and promoting local cultural values; while simultaneously spreading a spirit of solidarity within the community, making it a memorable highlight in this year's Ca Mau Crab Festival.

Each team brings healthy crabs to compete, however, winning or losing sometimes depends on luck, because some crabs are "stubborn" and refuse to obey their owners.

Locals and tourists alike can register to participate in the competition. The organizers even provide racing crabs on loan, aiming to create a lively and exciting atmosphere.

The competition brought together 32 participating teams, including youth union members, young people, organizations, cooperatives, and local residents.

Mr. Vo Van Thich (center), a member of Huy Thinh Cooperative, received the first prize on behalf of the cooperative.
