On the evening of July 4th, Tinh Ha "Say Hi" officially aired its first episode, marking the show's return and continuing its direct competition with Anh Trai Nhan Chong Gai. In this episode, Song Luan was the brother who had the most points deducted from his personal accumulated score.
To kick off the new season, the show focuses on introducing the 24 participating artists, filming the music video for the theme song, and selecting teams for the first live stage.
Episode 1 is 4 hours and 30 minutes long.
Similar to previous seasons, episode 1 of "Star Galaxy Say Hi" was excessively long and drawn-out. The introduction of the 24 contestants alone lasted over 1 hour and 30 minutes. Some new faces making their first appearance on the show were even given a few minutes to showcase their musical skills. However, unlike the previous two seasons, the theme song's music video, instead of being shown before the show airs, was broadcast in the first episode. This was accompanied by behind-the-scenes footage of the music video shoot, highlighting the strict rules and regulations.
Compared to the previous two seasons, it's safe to say that this year's rules are stricter and more challenging for the contestants. Right from the music video shoot, contestants face a point deduction system for mistakes. The contestants' points will accumulate through each round and directly affect the final results.

The contestants were divided into groups for the filming. With their experience in the music industry and having filmed numerous music videos, many were confident they wouldn't make mistakes and that this was a simple challenge. However, right from the first take, the sound of "cut" echoed continuously from the filming crew, resulting in a number of contestants having points deducted.
Jaysonlei was criticized for unclear lip-syncing. Buitruonglinh's movements lacked decisiveness. Song Luan repeatedly missed the rhythm and forgot hand movements. Vuong Binh reacted slowly in the dance segments. Quang Hung MasterD lost his balance while performing a move, while Duong Domic's shoelace came undone and he couldn't maintain the required demeanor... All of the above mistakes show that even during the MV filming process, the guys had to go through a harsh "survival battle."
Among the contestants, Song Luan and Vuong Binh were the two who received the most reprimands from the production team for repeatedly making mistakes during filming. After the performance, Vuong Binh expressed remorse, saying that he had affected the progress of the entire team. He also had the most points deducted in the first filming group, totaling 40 points.
In the second group, called Energy, the filming atmosphere remained tense as members repeatedly had to reshoot scenes due to mistakes. Wean Le even admitted that the music video challenge made him more uncomfortable and stressed than the singing or dancing challenges.
Next up was the Light group, and Wren Evans faced the most difficult challenge: performing a scene involving a rope swing from a great height. Despite a confident start, the singer gradually lost his composure after making several mistakes and having to redo the segment.

During the filming of the segment featuring all 24 contestants, many unexpected situations continued to unfold, resulting in several contestants losing points. The Thien was reprimanded for unintentionally obscuring Wean Le's image, while Wean himself was penalized for not clearly visible on camera. Dillan made the mistake of not raising his flag at the right moment, and Duong Domic was reminded for constantly looking down at the ground instead of at the camera.
Concluding the themed music video challenge, Song Luan had the lowest score among the 24 contestants. He only had 75 points left after a series of mistakes resulted in deductions, giving points to his younger counterparts.
Conversely, CONGB, Cody Nam Võ, and Xuân Định were the top three contestants thanks to their excellent performance in the filming segment.
The rules of the game are harsh.
Moving on to the team formation phase, Tinh Ha "say hi" continued to put immense pressure on the artists by implementing new rules that were far more strategic than in previous seasons.
Eight male contestants were nominated for the position of team captain and had to choose one of two options presented by the program. The first option was to convince all the remaining contestants to vote for them to become the team captain. If they received enough support, they would officially lead a team. In return, if the team won first place after Live Stage 1, that captain would have the privilege of saving any contestant. However, if they failed to convince their colleagues, the candidate would immediately lose 15 points.

In the other option, artists don't need to campaign for votes and become team captains immediately. However, this advantage comes with a big risk: If their team doesn't make it into the top 3 highest-scoring teams after the first round, the captain will lose 30 personal points.
The new rules force the contestants to weigh short-term gains against the risk of losing points in the long run. Instead of relying entirely on audience votes like in previous seasons, contestants must now strategize to preserve their accumulated points. These points are a crucial factor, directly impacting each contestant's journey in the program.
Returning to the show's events, Wean Lê and Dương Domic were the two who chose to become team captains immediately without needing to convince their colleagues. The remaining six candidates had 1 minute and 30 seconds to solicit support. After the voting, only four people won the right to lead the team: Wren Evans, CoolKid, buitruonglinh, and HURRYKNG. Song Luân continued to face bad luck.
He was one of the two remaining contestants, along with Quang Hung MasterD, who failed to secure enough votes to become the captain of live stage 1. This meant both of them had 15 points deducted. Song Luan found himself in a precarious situation, having points deducted repeatedly in the very first episode.
After the team assignments were finalized, the 24 brothers were divided into 6 groups to prepare for Live Stage 1. Each team had to create their entire performance independently, from music production and stage design to idea development, message creation, and emotional atmosphere, as well as coordinating with the production team to complete the performance video .
According to the rules, the top 3 teams will each receive 15, 10, and 5 bonus points respectively. This gives the brothers a significant advantage in the subsequent rounds.
