On the afternoon of May 16th, Mr. Ngo Xuan The, Deputy Director of Binh Dinh Provincial General Hospital, stated that the hospital received four victims from the accident involving a government-owned vehicle carrying the Director of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Justice.
A tanker truck collided with a blue-plated 7-seater car, injuring the Director of the Department of Justice of Khanh Hoa province and three other people.
Accordingly, Mr. Ly Nguyen Nguyen Vu, Director of the Department of Justice of Khanh Hoa province, was hospitalized with a head injury.
Meanwhile, Ms. Vo Thi Ai Nhan (a specialist at the Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Justice) suffered a traumatic brain injury, facial and jaw injuries, and is in a coma; she is currently being monitored by doctors.
Additionally, the driver of the blue-plated car, Tran Dinh Khai, suffered two broken arms and is receiving treatment, and the victim, Nguyen Hung Hoang Long (a specialist at the Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Justice), also sustained serious head injuries and is under observation.
As reported by Traffic Newspaper, at approximately 9:30 AM on May 16th, driver Tran Dinh Khai (39 years old) was driving a 7-seater car with license plate 79A-005.07 (blue plate) on National Highway 1A in the South-North direction.
Upon reaching Km 1249+500 in Long Thanh village (Xuan Loc commune, Song Cau town, Phu Yen province), the vehicle collided with a tanker truck carrying oil with license plate 78C-053.86, driven by Le Hung Phuong (55 years old, residing in Xuan Phu ward, Song Cau town), which was traveling in the opposite direction.
The violent collision caused extensive damage to the 7-seater car, and four people inside were injured.
This blue-plated car belongs to the Department of Justice of Khanh Hoa province. At the time of the accident, Mr. Ly Nguyen Nguyen Vu (Director of the Department of Justice of Khanh Hoa province) and two specialists from the department were in the car.
