A unique destination
Few places in the Northwest highlands possess as many advantages as Ta Xua commune. Situated at an altitude of 1,500 to 2,800 meters above sea level, Ta Xua is surrounded by the majestic Hoang Lien Son mountain range, boasting a cool climate year-round, a rich ecosystem of special-use forests, and the nationally renowned "sea of clouds." The average temperature of 15-22 degrees Celsius creates an ideal setting for year-round relaxation.

The majestic mountain ranges, primeval forests, swirling sea of clouds, and pristine landscapes make this place a unique destination on the Vietnamese tourism map.
Besides its natural beauty, Ta Xua also preserves the valuable cultural heritage of the Mong ethnic group, which makes up about 99% of the local population.
From traditional architecture, clothing, and cuisine to festivals and daily life customs, these elements have created a wealth of valuable "soft resources" for developing community tourism, experiential tourism, and indigenous cultural tourism.

Paving the way for development
Despite its rich potential, Ta Xua still faces many bottlenecks in infrastructure and development management. The transportation system on some routes is narrow, lacks rest stops, and cannot adequately handle the rapidly increasing number of visitors. Some areas have steep mountain passes and dense fog, but the traffic safety infrastructure remains limited.
Local product display and introduction areas remain small-scale and lack coordinated planning. Furthermore, issues related to land, construction regulations, and boundaries between residential and forest land also hinder the process of attracting strategic investors.
Based on this reality, local Party committees and authorities are proactively addressing difficulties and gradually creating a foundation for systematic and sustainable development.

In particular, to create new momentum, Ta Xua has developed a list of 22 investment attraction projects, focusing on resort, eco-tourism, and experiential tourism; community tourism and supporting infrastructure and logistics services; and agriculture linked to tourism.
This is a modern development orientation, leveraging the strengths of climate, landscape, and culture to form a multi-valued tourism economic ecosystem.
The locality has also implemented a "green channel" mechanism in attracting investment, strengthening meetings with businesses, shortening processing times, supporting land clearance, reviewing land status, and accompanying investors right from the project preparation stage. As a result, many investors have chosen Ta Xua as an attractive destination.
Notable examples include the Ta Xua Resort Project implemented by Ta Xua Peak Wind Joint Stock Company with a total investment of over 497 billion VND and a scale of 47.2 hectares; and the Ta Xua Wind Power Plant Project by Hataco Vietnam Group Joint Stock Company, with a total investment of over 3,414 billion VND... The emergence of these large projects not only creates momentum for growth but also contributes to changing the face of the highlands, expanding jobs, and increasing income for the people.
"Accelerate" on the travel map
With its strategic location connecting popular tourist routes such as Moc Chau, Ngoc Chien, Tram Tau, Van Chan to Sa Pa, Ta Xua is increasingly asserting its role as an important destination in the region. Currently, the locality has 148 tourism service businesses, including 88 households operating community guesthouses, capable of serving approximately 1,500 guests per day and night.

Between 2020 and 2025, Ta Xua welcomed over 167,500 visitors, generating tourism revenue of more than 115 billion VND, demonstrating the growing appeal of this region.
And at this point, with the local authorities realizing the goal of transforming Ta Xua into a provincial-level tourist area by 2030 through a series of solutions, Ta Xua is presented with a golden opportunity for change. With proactive planning, synchronized infrastructure investment, environmental preservation, and the flow of strategic capital, this place has the potential to become a high-end eco-tourism and resort center in Northwest Vietnam.
