On March 13th, the Regional Tax Office II (formerly the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department) announced that, in order to facilitate the handover of data and the operation of the information technology system, and to meet the requirements of a streamlined organizational structure, the tax authority will temporarily suspend the electronic tax payment function on eTax Mobile, and temporarily suspend the processing and delivery of results for electronic tax returns received from 5 PM on March 12th to 8 AM on March 17th.

During the data handover period, taxpayers can submit requests for administrative procedures through the electronic tax system, by mail, or directly at the one-stop service department of the tax authority.

Tax departments and officials continue to support, process, and provide results for taxpayers' administrative procedures through manual (paper) methods.

Specifically, the implementation of electronic tax payments using the eTax Mobile application is temporarily suspended during the data handover and operation of the information technology system. "The Regional Tax Office II sincerely apologizes to the agencies, organizations, and individuals paying taxes in Ho Chi Minh City for the inconvenience caused during the implementation of this task," said a representative of the office.

Previously, on March 12th, the Tax Department ( Ministry of Finance ) announced the temporary suspension of electronic tax systems to facilitate upgrades in response to the restructuring and reorganization of tax agencies. The suspension period was from 5 PM on March 12th to 8 AM on March 17th.

Specifically, the electronic invoicing system, the electronic portal for foreign suppliers, the electronic information system of the Tax Department, the system for managing tax service practices, and the electronic portal for households and individuals engaged in e-commerce and digital platform businesses are still operating normally.
