Heartwarming zero-cost markets
The "Zero-Cost Market," recently organized by the Provincial Women's Union in collaboration with Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ) - Central Highlands and South Central Region Branch, at the Culture and Social Affairs Department of Tay Nha Trang Ward, was one of the practical and meaningful markets for members and women in particular, and residents of the communes and wards of Dien Dien, Dien Tho, Dien Lac, Tay Nha Trang, Bac Nha Trang, and Nam Nha Trang in general. At the market, people received vouchers to purchase items for free, helping families reduce some of their living expenses during the difficult times following the floods. The shelves were stocked with rice, spices, floor cleaner, dish soap, toothpaste, and other essential daily necessities. At the market, 500 gift packages, totaling nearly 300 million VND, were distributed to residents, including many households renting accommodation.

With a heart full of compassion for flood victims, the Women's Union of Nam Nha Trang Ward, in coordination with the Provincial Tourism Association and Nha Trang Xua Restaurant, organized a "Zero-Cost Rural Market" to support residents of Thai Thong 1 and Thai Thong 2 residential areas. Free stalls offered a variety of essential goods such as rice, vegetables, fruits, spices, cooking oil, fish sauce, instant noodles, milk, biscuits, and beverages. At the market, the organizers distributed 1,620 gift packages worth approximately 300 million VND, each containing 5 free shopping vouchers (1 rice voucher and 4 consumer goods vouchers). Each household affected by the floods in the two residential areas received a voucher to choose the essential items that met their family's needs.
Many practical support activities
In early December 2025, a delegation from the Vietnam Women's Union visited Khanh Hoa province and presented 40 gift packages to female members in Bac Nha Trang and Nam Nha Trang wards; each package included 1 million VND in cash and essential supplies. The delegation also visited four families of female members and orphaned children in difficult circumstances, providing each family with 2 million VND in support along with gifts. At each family's home, Ms. Tran Lan Phuong, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union, and members of the delegation inquired about the damage, living conditions, and efforts to overcome the consequences of the floods; they encouraged the families to strive to overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives as soon as possible. Crossing a still-flooded path, the delegation visited the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Luan (Thai Thong 2 residential area, Nam Nha Trang ward). Ms. Luan lives with her son; both mother and son have leg disabilities, and the family is classified as near-poor. Receiving support from the delegation, Ms. Luan expressed: "During the most difficult times, receiving the care and encouragement from the Vietnam Women's Union has given me strength, helping me to be more steadfast in gradually rebuilding my life after the natural disaster."

The various levels of associations in the province actively mobilized resources, donating thousands of notebooks, pens, uniforms, milk, and drinking water to help students in flood-affected areas continue attending school. They also provided warm clothing, blankets, medicine, and other necessities to help people stabilize their lives. Officials and members also assisted single-parent families and those in difficult circumstances with cleaning their homes and treating wells to prevent disease outbreaks. The total value of these support activities exceeded 5.5 billion VND, providing timely assistance to families in overcoming initial difficulties.
Ms. Nguyen Hoang Van Ha, Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union, said: "In the coming time, the Women's Union at all levels will continue to promote activities to care for the lives of members, women, and children. In addition to giving gifts, the Union will connect and mobilize many resources to provide livelihoods, helping women restore production and develop family economies. The Union will also launch campaigns to clean up the environment, contributing to maintaining a green, clean, and beautiful living environment for the community."
