In Hoang Yen village (Ia Phin commune, Chu Prong district), on the morning of June 6th, local authorities, in coordination with the families, carried out funeral procedures for the victims of the tragic accident that occurred yesterday afternoon, June 5th. The old, one-story house of Nguyen Quang Hoa (35 years old, one of the three victims) was shrouded in grief, filled with heart-wrenching cries of sorrow.

Looking at the three coffins lying side by side, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Huy (71 years old, father of Mr. Hoa) wept until his tears ran dry, alternately standing and sitting as he gazed at the bodies of his children and grandchildren. For Mr. Huy, this loss is perhaps unimaginable.

Mr. Huy said that everything seemed to turn upside down after just one phone call delivering the terrible news. His wife fainted upon hearing the news of their children and grandchildren's deaths, unable to believe it was true.

"Around 5 PM, my family received a phone call informing us that my son and his wife had been in an accident about 1 km from our house. As soon as she heard the news, my wife fainted because she couldn't believe what she was hearing. I left her with a neighbor and immediately rushed to the scene. On the way, I kept praying that the information I'd just heard wasn't true, but when I arrived, I was stunned to see the bodies of my children and grandchildren. Even now, I'm still haunted by that horrific scene. My son, daughter-in-law, and grandchild lay motionless on the road. It was too terrible for me," Mr. Huy recounted, visibly distraught.

Sobbing, Mrs. Hanh (Hoa's mother) had vacant eyes, as if she had lost her soul, grieving for her son and grandchildren. Mrs. Hanh said that Hoa and Kieu had been making a living farming for many years, working wherever they could find work, diligently earning money to support their four children's education.

“My husband and I loved each other very much. We got married and had four children together. Life was hard, but we rarely argued. Just yesterday, N. was still playing with me, massaging my back and shoulders, and now…”, at this point, Mrs. Hanh’s face turned pale , and she quickly wiped away her tears with the hem of her shirt.

Neighbors and friends were moved to tears when recounting the difficult circumstances of Mr. Hoa's family. The couple was always well-liked by their neighbors because of their gentle nature. Ms. Ngo Thi Tra Giang (a neighbor) said that Ms. Kieu was a very hardworking and kind person who lived harmoniously with the villagers.

"Kieu was so pitiful. She went around buying butter, collecting scrap metal, and working as a seasonal waitress to earn money to support her four young children. Honestly, when I heard about Kieu and her husband's accident, I couldn't believe it. How could such a good person leave us so soon!" , Ms. Giang said, her voice choked with emotion.

Also this morning, Mr. Doan Huu Dung, Director of the Department of Transport and Deputy Head of the Traffic Safety Committee of Gia Lai province, visited and offered condolences to the family and relatives of Mr. Nguyen Quang Hoa. During the visit, Mr. Doan Huu Dung offered his condolences and presented the family with 15 million VND in financial assistance, while also sharing in their immense loss.

The Traffic Safety Committee of Chư Prông district also presented 9 million VND, the People's Committee of Ia Phìn commune presented 9 million VND, and representatives of Hoàng Yên village presented 2 million VND to the family to help with funeral arrangements for the three victims.

At approximately 4:40 PM on June 5th, a truck with license plate 81H-010.45, driven by Mr. Hoang Xuan Tai (53 years old, residing in Thang Loi Ward, Pleiku City), was traveling from Bau Can Commune towards Chu Prong Town when it suddenly collided with a pickup truck with license plate 81C-148.74 that was moving slowly on the right.
The car then continued to collide with a motorbike with license plate 81B2-783.37 driven by Mr. Nguyen Quang Hoa (35 years old, residing in Hoang Yen village, Ia Phin commune, Chu Prong district) carrying his wife, Nguyen Thi Kieu (31 years old), and their son, NHTN (3 years old), on the back.
The accident resulted in the immediate deaths of Mr. Hoa's entire family of three.
