Many impressive changes

This is one of the marks demonstrating the efforts of the cadres and people of Lien Chieu district over the years; it is the overcoming of difficulties, constantly asserting itself throughout the journey of construction and development, including the important political task of infrastructure construction and urban development.

Many large and key projects of the city have been and are being implemented in the district, such as: Nguyen Tat Thanh street, Hue intersection, new urban areas of Tay Bac, Golden Hill, Ecocham, Mikazuki Spa & Hotel Resort; Lien Chieu port, Nam O eco-tourism area, Mega Market commercial center, Lien Chieu port connecting road, Western Ring Road 2, Tay Bac Axis 1 road...

According to the People's Committee of Lien Chieu District, the implementation of projects with the right strategic vision has really helped Lien Chieu "change its skin and flesh". The urban appearance is increasingly spacious, the main roads are expanded. The urban infrastructure has developed remarkably, from the initial 5 roads to establish the district, to date there are more than 500 roads.

Projects have upgraded transport infrastructure, built new urban areas, invested in industrial parks, and High-Tech Parks, creating a new vitality, attracting investment, and adding more stable jobs for the people. The material and spiritual life of Lien Chieu people is increasingly improving, schools are more spacious, people have access to higher quality medical services, and the living environment is increasingly greener, cleaner, and more beautiful. The joy and excitement are clearly visible on the faces of each person, which is a great source of motivation on the path of local development.

Along with that, the district builds pilot projects to develop forest garden economy combined with eco-tourism, environmentally friendly in Hai Van forest; exploit tourism services at coastal locations and sea sports and entertainment tourism; develop Hoa Khanh market to become a tourist service point combined with traditional market; develop Nam O community tourism; develop inland waterway tourism on Cu De river; "exploit services, eco-tourism on forestry and agricultural land in the district. After implementation, these projects will contribute to the formation of tourism service infrastructure, high-class urban areas, support the promotion of the regional economy, create more high-class tourism service products, contribute to creating jobs for local people.

Ms. Ho Thi Kim Hoa (Hoa Khanh Bac ward) said that for the project of the road connecting Lien Chieu port and Lien Chieu port, people received very satisfactory compensation and clearance, and realized the practical benefits from the project. She hopes that the project will soon come into operation, contributing to the development of Lien Chieu district in particular and the city in general.

Mr. Nguyen Van Xung, who migrated from Lang Van (old) to settle in Hoa Hiep Nam ward, shared: “Since moving here, the lives of Lang Van people have changed a lot. From health care, education, social culture, children's education from not having a proper education, now they can go to school, knowledge is improved...”.

He himself is satisfied with his new life and is happy to see the city developing more and more, with a series of large projects being built such as Lien Chieu port, port connecting roads, free trade zones, etc. "We moved from Lang Van to live here, now hearing that Lang Van will build a tourist area, I am very happy. I hope the project will be completed soon so that I can return to Lang Van to see with my own eyes the changes of the land where I used to live", Mr. Xung shared.

Promote investment in construction of key and dynamic projects

According to Vice Chairman of Lien Chieu District People's Committee Huynh Anh Vu, the district is striving to speed up the site clearance progress, completing the site clearance of 17 unfinished projects in the area, such as: Lang Van tourism and resort complex; Hoa Khanh Nam industrial cluster; Le Trong Tan road; Trung Nghia primary school...

At the same time, focus on completing legal documents, preparing to implement new projects in the district: projects in the free trade zone - dividing projects into sub-zones, extended Nguyen Sinh Sac Street, Western Ring Road 2... After implementation, the projects promise to improve the infrastructure of tourism services, high-class urban areas, support the promotion of the regional economy, create more high-class tourism products and services, contribute to creating jobs, improving the quality of life for local people. To achieve these results, many factors are required, in which, compensation and site clearance play a key role. This is a complex task, requiring perseverance, transparency and understanding, sharing, and consensus from both the government and the people.

“In the coming time, to continue successfully implementing major projects, creating momentum for sustainable development, Lien Chieu district will focus on removing difficulties and obstacles, speeding up the progress of site clearance for projects in the area, based on the principles: putting the legitimate interests of the people first, increasing dialogue and listening to people's opinions; focusing on resettlement work; focusing on policies to support people in the process of transition, stabilizing their lives and finding new jobs... At the same time, we will also resolutely handle cases of intentionally causing difficulties, obstructing the work of compensation and site clearance in accordance with the provisions of law, ensuring strictness and fairness; contributing to the common development of the locality, bringing a prosperous, happy and sustainable life to the people", said Mr. Vu.
