Adjacent to the Hung Temple historical site, and traversed by National Highway 2 and Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, Van Phu Ward possesses many favorable conditions for strong development. During the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committee and government of the former communes and wards (before the merger) have reformed their leadership and management thinking, implementing key tasks and breakthroughs in planning, deploying numerous solutions to invest in infrastructure, develop services, and build a civilized and modern urban area. The economic structure has shifted in the right direction, creating an important foundation for a new Van Phu with rich development potential, a civilized and modern ward.

During the past term, 36 projects and works related to transportation, irrigation, education , and the restoration and preservation of historical and cultural relics were implemented in Van Phu ward. These included many key urban infrastructure and transportation projects of the province and city, such as: the Truong Chinh Road project and resettlement areas; the extended Nguyen Tat Thanh Road (section from Hung Vuong Road to the Hung Temple historical site); the Au Co dike road renovation and upgrading project; and the road connecting Hung Vuong Road through Nguyen Tat Thanh Road, Phu Dong Road to Au Co Road...

During the period 2020-2025, with support from the province and city, and contributions from the people, more than 20 cement concrete roads in residential areas were renovated and upgraded to asphalt concrete roads; sidewalks were paved on Hung Vuong and Le Dong roads, totaling 42,521 ^m² ; and over 25 km of roads were upgraded and newly constructed using cement concrete. Many detailed planning projects were completed, providing an important basis for land and resource management and the implementation of projects in accordance with the law. Planning and infrastructure construction in a green and sustainable direction were emphasized, prioritizing the development of public spaces, green areas, and environmentally friendly facilities, gradually creating a clean and attractive appearance.

Tourists can visit and experience the traditional craft of making rice cakes - one of the characteristic products that create the brand of community tourism in Hung Lo village, Van Phu ward.

Beyond developing urban infrastructure, Van Phu is exploiting its potential advantages to focus on developing trade, services, and tourism, creating favorable conditions for all economic sectors to participate, with priority given to businesses and entrepreneurs investing in and expanding their business activities. The entire ward has 1,165 individual business households and 159 registered enterprises and cooperatives, contributing to a sustainable economic restructuring. Modern commercial and service infrastructure is being invested in, harmoniously combining traditional and modern trade to suit market demands. Agricultural and handicraft cooperatives are increasing in both quantity and quality. Many OCOP (One Commune One Product) products have been branded and developed in conjunction with traditional craft villages, such as Hung Lo rice noodles and the Hung Lo - Kim Duc community tourism product, initially forming a unique cultural and community tourism destination in the ancestral land.

Building upon the achievements of the previous term, along with the new advantages and opportunities following the merger, the Party Committee of Van Phu Ward has set goals for the new development phase. From there, it aims to effectively exploit potential and advantages, mobilize all resources for rapid and sustainable socio-economic development, prioritize and improve planning and environmental resource management as a foundation for urban development; and use the development of trade and service sectors as a driving force for economic growth, building Van Phu Ward into an increasingly civilized and modern area.

With these orientations, Van Phu ward has identified the breakthrough areas that need to be prioritized: "Developing tourism and services associated with preserving and promoting distinctive historical and cultural values and traditions" and "Investing in infrastructure development to gradually create a green, civilized, and modern urban area." Accordingly, the ward focuses on effectively exploiting the potential of land, traditional craft villages, commercial services, and the advantages of its geographical location and transportation as the gateway to the central urban area of the province, as well as existing economic and cultural institutions, to promote commercial service activities associated with the application of technology and innovation. It effectively utilizes traditional historical and cultural values (ancient temples and shrines, Xoan singing, ancient villages, traditional craft villages, etc.) to develop tourism services, focusing on spiritual tourism and community tourism, combining economic development with the preservation of cultural and historical values. Actively support businesses and production facilities with administrative procedures, creating a favorable investment environment and promoting the development of trade and services. Effectively implement planning tasks and invest in urban infrastructure development, especially transportation and urban technical infrastructure projects. Complete the planning project for Van Phu ward in accordance with the new urban spatial development orientation, aiming to fully exploit and utilize the advantages, potential, and available resources of the locality, creating a basis for infrastructure projects and attracting investment. Prioritize planning management, urban management, and architectural management, striving to build Van Phu ward into a comprehensively developed and modern locality in terms of urban infrastructure, road and rail transport, as well as a center for science, technology, and innovation.

What gives Van Phu its momentum is not only its location and potential, but also the spirit of unity, consensus, and aspiration for progress of the entire political system, cadres, party members, and the people. In a new development space with a well-planned foundation and synchronized infrastructure, Van Phu ward is embarking on a new journey in the era of national progress, realizing the goal of becoming a shining example of comprehensive, prosperous, and civilized urban development, services, and tourism.
