Expanding the scope of development

In 2025, Thanh Thuy recorded stability in trade and service activities in the area.

One notable highlight is the ward's proactive proposal for investment in a 3.42-hectare commercial and service land area. This is considered a "prime land" for developing modern business models such as integrated commercial and service centers, contributing to enhancing the urban landscape. The high-end automotive service center project in the An Van Duong New Urban Area is also currently under review for approval. If implemented, the project will not only create more jobs for workers but also contribute to the formation of a high-quality service chain, meeting the increasingly diverse needs of the market.

In the industrial, handicraft, and construction sectors, production activities continue to remain stable. The building materials manufacturing industry plays a leading role, while traditional industries such as wood processing, broom production, essential oils, paper, and composites continue to operate steadily, contributing to job creation for local workers. The total value of industrial and construction production reaching VND 4,465 billion in 2025 is clear evidence of the resilience and adaptability of businesses in a context of ongoing fluctuations.

The ward has also intensified efforts to provide information on industrial cluster planning. As a result, the locality has attracted 54 businesses to register and operate, opening up new development opportunities. The collective economic sector has also seen positive changes. By the end of 2025, the locality had issued business registration certificates to 262 cases.

Removing bottlenecks to create momentum for growth.

Despite the achievements, Thanh Thuy ward still faces many difficulties that need to be addressed soon. Prominent among these is the environmental issue at the Thuy Phuong Industrial Cluster. Due to the lack of a centralized wastewater treatment system, pollution control remains limited. Some paper recycling facilities continue to operate without completing all necessary legal procedures and waste treatment systems, posing a potential risk to the living environment of residents. Furthermore, the transportation infrastructure in some areas is not yet synchronized, lacking connectivity between residential areas, production zones, and the urban center; and unauthorized and illegal construction still occurs...

Another challenge is the shortage of specialized human resources. With a natural area of nearly 49km², a population of over 45,800 people, and 33 residential areas, Thanh Thuy is relatively large. In particular, the locality has been planned for over 1,000 hectares of new urban development – an area identified as a key target for investment attraction. However, the shortage of specialized personnel such as architects, civil engineers, information technology specialists, land management experts, etc., has affected the progress of processing applications, appraising planning, and implementing digital transformation.

Promoting investment in the Thuy Phuong Industrial Cluster is considered a key solution. Meanwhile, the biggest limitation remains the incomplete technical infrastructure, especially the wastewater treatment system, fire prevention and fighting system, and internal transportation. Regarding the Thuy Phuong 2 Industrial Cluster project, despite having received investment approval, no investors have yet registered. This shows that improving the investment environment, completing infrastructure, and developing appropriate investment attraction policies are urgent requirements.

During a meeting with ward leaders, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Dang Huu Phuc acknowledged Thanh Thuy's efforts in managing the Thuy Phuong Industrial Cluster. Mr. Dang Huu Phuc also requested the locality to continue reviewing and completing the documentation, paying particular attention to the centralized wastewater treatment system and fire prevention and control. The Department of Industry and Trade will coordinate with relevant units to strengthen efforts to attract capable investors, contributing to the early completion and effective operation of industrial clusters in the area.
