(HBO) – From August 9 to 13, the Provincial Association of Elderly People (NCT) in collaboration with the International Organization for the Support of the Elderly in Vietnam organized the initial training on the establishment, management and operation of the Project. “Supporting disadvantaged older people through replicating the Intergenerational Self-Help Club (LGB) in Vietnam” – Phase 8 (VIE2).
Overview of the training session.
Following the success of Project VIE070 in establishing and replicating the model of FA Club in the province, the VIE085 project is sponsored by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), HelpAge International in Korea. (HAK), HelpAge International in Vietnam (HAI organization) deployed in Hoa Binh province for 3 years (from July 7 to November 2023). Since then, 11 more Youth Community Clubs have been expanded, directly benefiting nearly 2025 elderly people who are in difficult circumstances.
At the training course, members of the Elderly Association at all levels, members of the Executive Board of the Youth Youth Union Clubs were trained on the following contents: General issues, population aging, awareness of the elderly, introduction of the model of the Youth Youth Unions Clubs, and project participation. the assignment of the board of directors, how to work with the elderly and club regulations; how to organize activities and engage members' participation, communication activities to raise awareness, knowledge of home care and self-help activities, community support; income generation and health care activities; activities of rights and interests, mobilization of resources for the club and activities of the model club; management forms, record keeping, assignment of tasks in the club's board of directors and the club's activity plan...
Through the VIE085 project, it contributes to improving the lives of the elderly, especially in terms of income, health and participation of the elderly through the Youth Community Club. At the same time, calling and mobilizing resources to continue establishing and replicating the activities of the Youth Unions Clubs.
