The Thang Long high-speed ferry will depart from Vung Tau at 7:30 AM on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, while the return trip will start at 1:00 PM on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
According to Phu Quoc High-Speed Ferry Joint Stock Company on February 6th, the Thang Long high-speed ferry service between Vung Tau and Con Dao will officially resume operations tomorrow, February 7th (the 10th day of the lunar calendar), after nearly five months of suspension. The suspension was due to unfavorable weather conditions.

Accordingly, the ferry will depart from Vung Tau at 7:30 AM on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The ferries from Con Dao to Vung Tau will depart at 1:00 PM on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
With a distance of 185km (97 nautical miles), the Thang Long high-speed ferry takes approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes for each trip. The ferry fare will remain unchanged from last year. Previously, this route was temporarily suspended from September 14, 2024, due to unfavorable weather conditions and the need for operational adjustments.
The Thang Long high-speed ferry is over 77 meters long and nearly 9.5 meters wide, with a capacity of up to 1,017 passengers. The ship has three decks and uses three of the world's most modern engines manufactured by Roll-Royce MTU of the Federal Republic of Germany, with a total power of nearly 12,000 horsepower. The hull is made of aluminum alloy imported from Italy, allowing the ship to reach speeds of up to 32 knots, shortening travel time from Vung Tau to Con Dao.
The addition of high-speed ferries capable of carrying over 1,000 passengers per trip will help facilitate travel for residents of Con Dao and tourists when they need to move between Con Dao and the mainland.
The current fare for the Thang Long high-speed ferry from Vung Tau to Con Dao ranges from 790,000 to 1,200,000 VND per trip, depending on the class from economy to VIP. Tickets for children, people with disabilities, and senior citizens range from 550,000 to 760,000 VND per trip.
