A warm Tet holiday for the trade union.

As the year draws to a close, joy is evident in the home of Ms. Trieu Thi Xuan in Doi Can II village, Hoa Tham commune. At the end of January 2026, Ms. Xuan received 40 million VND from the "Trade Union Shelter" Fund to build a new house. This support is of practical significance to her family after many years of living in difficult conditions with a dilapidated and unsafe house.

Ms. Xuan shared: "The union's concern is a great source of encouragement for me. Receiving financial support to build a house right before the Lunar New Year has helped my family improve our living conditions and stabilize our lives before the new year. Having a new house to celebrate Tet in makes me feel more secure and gives me more motivation to try harder and strive more in my work."

Besides providing timely support to union members right before Tet, the work of caring for workers during Tet continues to be implemented systematically and with a focus by all levels of trade unions in the province. As early as the end of October 2025, the Provincial Federation of Labor Unions issued a plan to organize activities to care for union members during the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026. This plan clearly defines the goal of creating a peak period of care and support for union members; prioritizing those with particularly difficult circumstances, families of policy beneficiaries, etc.

Representatives of the Huy Hoang Company Limited's Trade Union visited and presented Tet gifts to the families of union members.

Ms. Be Thi Hoa, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and Chairwoman of the Provincial Labor Union, stated: The Provincial Labor Union has directed all levels of trade unions to implement Tet care programs according to the motto "All union members and workers have a happy Tet." Activities are mainly organized at the grassroots level, ensuring transparency, targeting the right beneficiaries, and adapting to actual conditions. Furthermore, the care program goes beyond material support and also includes understanding the thoughts and aspirations of workers; monitoring the payment of Tet bonuses and wages, contributing to the stability of labor relations in the province.

Accordingly, welfare activities are carried out in various forms such as giving online shopping vouchers; visiting and giving gifts directly; organizing year-end union meals;... Among them, the most prominent is the "Tet Reunion - Spring Gratitude to the Party 2026" program, which is expected to be held in communes and wards starting from the 21st day of the 12th lunar month. According to the plan, this year, over 4,200 union members and workers throughout the province will receive Tet welfare benefits ranging from 500,000 VND to 2,000,000 VND per member.

Besides caring for union members, the Provincial Federation of Labor also organized visits and presented gifts to 22 grassroots trade unions in various units and enterprises to encourage them to continue paying attention to the lives of union members. The total budget for Tet holiday care activities by trade unions at all levels for union members in the province during the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 reached over 3.4 billion VND.

At the grassroots level, enterprise-level trade unions are also actively coordinating with employers to implement activities to care for union members. Mr. Dinh Trong Huy, Deputy Director and Chairman of the Trade Union of Huy Hoang Co., Ltd., Dong Kinh Ward, said: "This Lunar New Year, the trade union has been coordinating with the company's leadership to directly visit and give gifts to the families of more than 70 union members. In addition, we are also choosing a suitable time to organize a year-end meal for union members. The total budget for Tet welfare activities for union members this year is over 100 million VND."

These days, the welfare activities of trade unions, implemented simultaneously from the provincial to the grassroots level, have created a vibrant and widespread atmosphere among union members. The timely attention of trade unions at all levels has helped union members, especially those in difficult circumstances, to confidently celebrate the Lunar New Year 2026 and be ready to enter the new year with enthusiasm, responsibility, and determination to contribute to the stability and development of their units and enterprises.
