This afternoon, December 9, Cong Thuong Newspaper organized the seminar 'Carbon Market: Challenges and Opportunities'.

Implementing policies on green and sustainable economic development as well as implementing the national strategy on climate change for the period up to 2050 according to Decision No. 896/QD-TTg dated July 26, 2022 of the Prime Minister, in order to proactively and effectively adapt, reduce vulnerability, loss and damage caused by climate change; reduce greenhouse gas emissions according to the target of net emissions of "0" by 2050, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has issued the "Action plan to respond to climate change and green growth of the Industry and Trade sector for the period up to 2030, vision to 2050" with many specific goals.

To achieve the goals in the above strategy and plan, raising awareness about emissions, as well as implementing the greenhouse gas emission reduction credit exchange market (Carbon market) in Vietnam is an important task of the industry as well as many enterprises in the Industry and Trade sector.

With the desire to convey the message of economic transition towards green, circular, low-carbon economy; at the same time providing updated information on the current status, challenges as well as proposing solutions to effectively implement the carbon market in Vietnam, Cong Thuong Newspaper organized a seminar on "Carbon Market: Challenges and Opportunities" with the participation of invited guests:
