Thai Nguyen: 195 tea products meet OCOP standards

Up to now, Thai Nguyen has undergone 6 evaluation periods with 313 products evaluated and ranked with OCOP standards from 3-5 stars, including 195 tea products, accounting for 62.3% of the current OCOP products.

OCOP tea products help elevate the Thai Nguyen tea brand and increase the value of tea trees.

Among these, there are 2 products, "Chè Tôm Nơn" and "Che Đinh" of the Hao Dat Tea Cooperative (Tan Cuong, Thai Nguyen City) achieving 5-star OCOP. In 2025, Thai Nguyen will continue to develop the product of the hometown-style shrimp tea of ​​the Phu Luong Agricultural Products Cooperative to achieve 5-star OCOP.

OCOP products in general, and OCOP tea products in particular, meet quality and food safety standards and regulations; have diverse designs and packaging that are environmentally friendly, and are gradually affirming their value and quality in the market, gaining the trust of the people. In particular, many OCOP products have been selected as gifts in conferences and foreign affairs events of the central and local levels.

At a time when Thai Nguyen is implementing solutions to bring tea trees to a billion-dollar revenue within the next 5 years, tea products achieving OCOP standards not only contribute to brand building but also help increase the value of tea trees.
