Over the past few days, the National Unity Day, combined with the Military-Civilian Cultural Festival, has been celebrated enthusiastically throughout the villages and residential areas of Quang Ninh . The festival created a joyful, vibrant atmosphere, fostering strong bonds of solidarity between the military and the people, truly embodying the spirit of national unity.

The officers and soldiers of the Mong Cai City Military Command participated in a rice cake making exchange with the people of Hai Son commune.

Hai Son commune (Mong Cai city) is one of three localities selected to host the National Unity Day celebration in residential areas, linked with the 2024 National Defense Day, on a commune-wide scale. Therefore, from early morning on the day of the celebration, a large number of people from the three villages of Po Hen, Luc Chan, and Than Phun, along with the regular army and militia forces, gathered at the commune's Cultural and Sports Center to participate.

Within the framework of the festival, the military and people in the commune reviewed the history and traditions of the Vietnam Fatherland Front over the past 94 years, the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day. They also participated in many cultural, artistic, and sporting activities, such as making sticky rice cakes, dancing, singing, a cross-country race to historical sites, women's football, and many other folk games. Everyone was happy and excited to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the festival. Soldier Mai Xuan Hieu (Mong Cai City Military Command) shared: "This is my first time participating in the festival, and I feel very happy and excited. We had the opportunity to chat, share, and engage in cultural and sporting exchanges with the people. This contributed to strengthening the relationship between the military and the people in this border area."

The Mong Cai City Military Command organized the inauguration of a "Comrade's House" during the National Unity Day celebration.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Vu Tuan Anh, Deputy Political Commissar of the Mong Cai City Military Command, on this occasion, the City Military Command also held a ceremony to inaugurate and hand over a house to the family of soldier Trac Tien Dung, who is currently serving at Regiment 218, Division 361, Air Defense - Air Force Command. The spacious single-story house was built and completed partly through the joint contributions of officers and soldiers of the city's armed forces and social mobilization efforts, totaling 100 million VND. During the construction process, officers and soldiers of the city's armed forces and the local militia also contributed over 50 days of labor.

Having a beautiful, sturdy new home is a great joy and happiness for the family of soldier Trac Tien Dung. Ms. Pham Thi Be, representing the family, said: "My family is very excited that the city's armed forces have shown concern and provided support in building a new house. This gift is extremely meaningful to my family. Receiving the house on the National Unity Day makes us even more emotional."

Not only in the three designated locations, the National Unity Day, combined with the Military-Civilian Cultural Festival, was organized simultaneously in all residential areas of the province by the Provincial Military Command in coordination with the Provincial Fatherland Front, featuring numerous cultural, artistic, and sports exchange activities between the people and the military forces. Simultaneously, a political campaign was launched, extensively disseminating information to officers, soldiers of the armed forces, and the people throughout the province about the glorious traditions of the heroic Vietnam People's Army over 80 years of building, fighting, and maturing. This strongly awakened patriotism and pride in the tradition of military-civilian solidarity in the struggle to protect and build the Fatherland.
