March is the season when hawthorn flowers bloom.

Every March, Nam Nghep (also known as Nam Nghiep, Son La province) bursts into a pristine beauty as the hawthorn flowers bloom simultaneously, covering the mountains and forests in white, attracting tourists to admire and experience the vibrant life of the Northwest mountains and forests.

From the high hillsides to the villages nestled in the clouds, the white blossoms blanket the land like a soft carpet, creating a majestic yet poetic natural landscape. Beyond its connection to the livelihoods of the H'Mông people, the hawthorn tree also carries the hopes of a bountiful harvest and a prosperous, happy life.

1. The flowers usually bloom from the end of February to the end of March.

2. Over 1,260 hectares of hawthorn trees simultaneously bloomed, revealing a magnificent natural landscape and a vibrant tourist season amidst the clouds.

3. Tourism during the hawthorn blossom season has become an important source of income for the family and many households in the village.

4. Tourists from all over come to take photos to capture the blooming season.
