Yen Phu village has become a shining example in the New Rural Development movement of Xuan Ai commune, having been recognized as a model New Rural Development village in 2023. The village currently has 274 households with 944 inhabitants, comprising many ethnic groups. A significant proportion of the population (36.4%) are Catholic, creating cultural diversity within the community. Responding to the "National Unity Campaign for Building New Rural Areas and Civilized Urban Areas," many models have been systematically implemented by the village's Front Committee, creating a strong ripple effect, such as: "Saturday with the People," "Movement to donate land for expanding rural roads," "365 Days of United Efforts to Contribute to the Party," "2 Commons, 5 Together, 1 Goal"... Along with this, the movement to donate land and contribute labor for rural road construction has been strongly supported by the people.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Tam, Party Secretary and Head of the Village Front Committee, over the past five years, the villagers have donated more than 5,000 square meters of land, contributed over 600 days of labor, and provided many assets on the land to build internal village roads, field roads, a cultural house, and other public works, with a total value of over 1 billion VND. To date, 100% of the roads in the village are planted with flowers and trees and have streetlights, creating a green, clean, and beautiful landscape.
“Before launching the movement, the Village Front Committee, in coordination with the Youth Union, the Women's Union, and the village, organized a public consultation to select appropriate and feasible content; prioritizing projects and tasks that bring direct benefits to people's lives, such as road construction, environmental sanitation, and livelihood models…,” Ms. Tam further shared.
Over the past period, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Xuan Ai commune has effectively played its central role in uniting the people, constantly innovating its methods of operation, focusing strongly on the grassroots, and fostering a spirit of creativity and self-reliance among the people. The emulation movements implemented by the commune's Fatherland Front Committee have reached 100% of residential areas, attracting widespread participation from the people.

Mr. Trieu Tai Quan, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Xuan Ai commune, happily stated: “One of the outstanding achievements of the Fatherland Front Committee of the commune in the past term was leading and coordinating the construction of 14 rural road lighting lines, nearly 30 km long, with a total socialized funding of over 246 million VND. The people in the commune donated over 29,100 m² of land, 11,192 cinnamon trees, opened 5.3 km of inter-commune roads, built 3.2 km of new drainage ditches, and widened 1.5 km of inter-village roads with a total value of over 1.8 billion VND. In addition, the commune mobilized resources to upgrade 10 village cultural houses, with a total cost of over 2 billion VND; many successful models of mass mobilization and beautiful streets were maintained, with a total socialized funding of over 1 billion VND.”
Mr. Le Huy, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Xuan Ai Commune, affirmed: "In recent years, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune has always effectively played its role in gathering and building national unity. The Front has reformed its methods of operation, focusing strongly on the grassroots level, and building many 'effective mass mobilization' models associated with patriotic emulation movements. The Fatherland Front of the commune has proactively grasped the thoughts and aspirations of the people, promptly reflecting them to the Party Committee and the government, and promptly resolving difficulties and obstacles among the people."

Xuan Ai commune is determined to strive to become a moderately developed commune in the province by 2030, while simultaneously completing the construction of an advanced new rural commune. Immediately after the commune's Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term, the Party Committee issued an action program, clearly assigning tasks to each agency and unit, emphasizing the core role of the Fatherland Front and other mass organizations. The focus is on continuing to build an advanced new rural commune, promoting poverty reduction campaigns, supporting the people in developing economic models, and stabilizing and increasing income.
"We place the people at the center of the development process. Every policy and initiative is aimed at improving their material and spiritual lives and making Xuan Ai a shining example in the construction of advanced new rural communes," Mr. Le Huy added.
