Thanh Hoa: Floods, urgent evacuation of more than 100 households

On the morning of August 26, flash floods occurred in some areas of Thanh Hoa province, and more than 100 households were urgently evacuated to safety.

In Son Dien commune, heavy rain caused flash floods in Na Nghiu village. In addition, heavy rain caused water to flow into Bun stream in Bun village, also causing flooding. In this situation, local authorities urgently evacuated 49 households to safety.

In Dien Lu commune, the authorities evacuated 72 households with 214 people in Kha, Gioi, Thung Tam, Ven, My, Con, Dien Giang, Dien Ly, and Ram Tam villages from the dangerous areas at risk of flash floods. In Co Luon village, 18 households were also evacuated from the area at risk of landslides.

Quan Son commune also evacuated 4 households with 13 people because their houses were hit by landslides. In Bon village, the commune government also evacuated 4 households with 19 people in areas at risk of flash floods.
