During this peak period, from cities to rural areas, everywhere is adorned with flags and flowers, and filled with joyful songs and celebrations welcoming the first Party Congress of Hai Phong City, for the term 2025-2030.

Officials from the Le Thanh Nghi Ward Cultural, Information and Sports Center are adjusting the propaganda banners about the City Party Congress in the area.

This is not only a major political event for the entire Party Committee but also a grand celebration for the people of the city, where they place their trust and expectations in new directions for the upcoming development path.

Colorful flags and flowers welcome the city's momentous event.

To date, the replacement of broken light bulbs, the installation of additional LED lights, and the maintenance of the drainage system at central locations such as Hoang Van Thu Bridge, Nguyen Duc Canh flower garden, Nguyen Trai Park, and streets like Hoang Van Thu, Le Hong Phong, and Tran Hung Dao... have been largely completed. The lighting system has been upgraded with high-power power supplies, and many electrical contact points have been addressed, contributing to the improvement of urban technical infrastructure.

The city's Cultural, Cinema and Exhibition Center has urgently deployed decoration and propaganda work in key areas, while also guiding communes and wards to implement the plan in a coordinated manner. In the photo: Traffic gateways are filled with red flags.

According to statistics, Hai Phong Green Park Joint Stock Company has completed the installation of nearly 200 arched bougainvillea flower pots along with hundreds of colorful flower pots at the City's Political-Administrative Center (North Song Cam New Urban Area), the City Convention Center, and along major streets such as Nguyen Tri Phuong, Do Muoi, and Hoang Van Thu Bridge. According to the Center for Management and Maintenance of Construction Works (Department of Construction), the decoration work to welcome the First City Party Congress is basically complete.

The city has also made plans and prepared vehicles, machinery, and materials to be ready to respond to localized flooding situations. “After the major events celebrating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd, the city continues to decorate to welcome the City Party Congress. As a Party member, I feel proud and excited to welcome this important event,” said Mr. Nguyen Xuan Truong from An Bien ward.

At the Eastern Cultural Center (Le Thanh Nghi ward), the City's Cultural, Cinema and Exhibition Center has completed the decoration and visual promotion work. Two sets of symbolic banners welcoming the Congress have been erected in front of the fountain, near Thanh Nien Street, creating a prominent highlight. Approximately 100 banners and slogans are hung along Tran Hung Dao, Hoang Hoa Tham, Ho Chi Minh, Pham Ngu Lao, Thanh Nien streets, etc., contributing to the vibrant urban landscape, especially at the entrances to the wards. Mr. Nguyen Van Luc, a resident of Le Thanh Nghi ward, shared: "The streets adorned with red flags make everyone passing by feel the joyful atmosphere welcoming this important event for the city."

A bustling array of cultural and sporting activities.

Besides visual promotional activities, artists and actors of the Hai Phong Contemporary Art Theatre are urgently rehearsing a special cultural and artistic program to serve the Congress. With the theme "Celebrating the Glorious Party - Welcoming a New Era," the artistic program consists of three parts: "Unwavering Faith," "Steadfastly Marching Under the Glorious Banner of the Party," and "A Bright Aspiration for the Future." The program will feature many famous singers, such as Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, Anh Tu, singers Thu Huyen, Khanh Ngoc, Ngoc Hieu, Tuan Long... along with the collective of artists and actors of the theatre and children from the city.

The performances revolve around themes praising the homeland, the country, the Party, and the beloved President Ho Chi Minh..., affirming the great historical and political significance of the Congress, as well as honoring the revolutionary traditions, culture, and people of Hai Phong, promoting the image of a dynamic, creative, and integrated city, a leading economic, cultural, educational, scientific, and technological center of the country... The art program will officially be performed on the evening of September 27th at the City Theater Square.

“Currently, the artists are focusing intensely on rehearsing performances for the art program celebrating the first Party Congress of Hai Phong City, term 2025-2030. The artists, singers, and actors of the theater are all very excited, enthusiastic, and proud to participate in the artistic performances, contributing a small part to this important event of the city,” People's Artist Khanh Hoa, Director of the Hai Phong Contemporary Art Theater, happily informed.

Besides the large-scale art program, the atmosphere in the localities is also vibrant. To celebrate the first City Party Congress and in response to the activities of the Con Son - Kiet Bac Autumn Festival, the People's Committee of Tran Hung Dao Ward organized the "Steps to the Congress - The Heartbeat of Heritage" running race. The race took place over two days, September 27th and 28th, with two distances of 5 km and 10 km along the route around Con Son Lake in Tran Hung Dao Ward. To date, the race has received the participation of nearly 1,000 athletes and residents.

The first City Party Congress took place in a special context following the expansion of the city's administrative boundaries, simultaneously ushering in a new era of development for the city. Therefore, this Congress was a grand celebration for the city and for every citizen, with absolute confidence in its success and the opening of new opportunities for the development of their homeland.
