The Vietnamese delegation participated actively and won many awards in almost all competitions for both adults and children.

On June 22nd, in New York, USA, the Permanent Missions to the United Nations of ASEAN member states and observer Timor Leste solemnly celebrated ASEAN Family Day 2024 with the participation of over one thousand officials, staff, and family members from the representative offices of 11 countries in New York.

Also attending the event were the Ambassadors and Heads of Missions from China and Australia as guests of honor.

Many vibrant sports and cultural exchange activities, rich in the unique characteristics of various countries, took place.

Temporarily setting aside their busy and stressful professional duties at the United Nations, the Ambassadors, along with staff and family members of all ages, shared joyful and heartwarming moments participating in and cheering on games such as tug-of-war, word games, hoop games, egg-passing, pebble throwing, singing competitions, etc., thereby further strengthening the solidarity and community spirit of ASEAN in New York.

The ASEAN Family Day 2024 event, coordinated by the Permanent Mission of Laos – the current Chair of the ASEAN Committee in New York – was a great success, leaving many positive impressions and beautiful memories in the hearts of all participants, and making a practical contribution to strengthening the image and raising awareness of the ASEAN Community as “united in diversity”.

ASEAN Family Day is an annual event aimed at strengthening solidarity and friendship among ASEAN countries, as well as between ASEAN and partner countries. It is held in many cities around the world where member countries have diplomatic missions.
