Three new dengue fever outbreaks have been reported.

According to a report from the Thai Binh Provincial Center for Disease Control, among the dengue fever cases reported last week, three new outbreaks were recorded in three communes: Dong My (Thai Binh City), Vu Ninh (Kien Xuong District), and Dong Trung (Tien Hai District).

From the beginning of 2024 to the present, Thai Binh province has recorded a total of 1,020 dengue fever cases, of which more than 63% are endemic.

The Thai Binh Provincial Center for Disease Control recommends and requests relevant units to strengthen communication efforts, providing timely and complete information on the disease situation and measures to prevent and control dangerous infectious diseases. For vaccine-preventable diseases, people should be regularly advised to proactively get vaccinated fully and on schedule according to guidelines.

The Thai Binh Provincial Center for Disease Control has coordinated with local authorities to promptly and effectively handle dengue fever cases and outbreaks; continued to implement disease prevention and control measures, ensuring environmental hygiene in high-risk areas; and organized the spraying of insecticides to kill disease-carrying insects in high-risk areas after general environmental sanitation.
