Mr. Luong A Phao, a respected figure in Block 13, Dong Kinh Ward, said: "My family has many members, each with different preferences. Younger people often like to watch entertainment programs on TV, while our generation prefers to watch news programs. Therefore, the television provided is very useful to me. Especially in the evenings after the news program on VTV1 ends, I switch to watching the provincial news on LSTV channel of the Lang Son Newspaper and Broadcasting and Television Station. This helps me regularly update information from the province, the country, and internationally, effectively serving the work of disseminating information to the people in the block."
According to our findings, the provision of televisions to influential individuals in the area is in accordance with Decision No. 2447 dated November 14, 2025, of the Provincial People's Committee on approving audiovisual equipment for influential individuals among ethnic minorities and mountainous areas in the province. Implementing this decision, from the end of 2025 to the beginning of February 2026, the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions coordinated with the People's Committees of communes and wards to hand over televisions to 1,610 influential individuals in the area. The televisions have 50-inch screens, 4K Ultra HD resolution, internet connectivity, and remote and voice control features. The funding for purchasing the equipment came from the National Target Program for socio -economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 2021-2025.
This is a practical and meaningful activity that contributes to improving access to information on the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws, while also supporting influential individuals in disseminating information and mobilizing the people, thereby enhancing their pivotal role at the grassroots level.
Mr. Duong Trung Ly, a respected figure in Co Loi village, Ba Son commune, shared: "I am very excited to receive a modern television like this. Not only can I access many official information channels for effective propaganda, but I can also learn about many economic models and techniques in farming and livestock raising in various localities to share with the villagers so they can learn and apply them appropriately and effectively, contributing to improving their lives."
In fact, over the past period, thanks to the attention and access to information provided, influential individuals have made many contributions to maintaining security and order in the area. For example, this group actively participates in resolving conflicts and disputes among the people, and encourages people to commit to not violating the law. From the beginning of 2026 to the present, influential individuals have provided approximately 200 valuable pieces of information on security and order to functional forces; participated in mediating about 150 conflicts among the people; actively coordinated in managing, educating , and assisting over 100 offenders returning to their localities; and encouraged people to surrender hundreds of weapons, explosives, and supporting tools...
It can be affirmed that providing equipment demonstrates the concern of the Party and the State, helping this influential person improve their capacity and ability to receive information, meeting the requirements of performing their assigned tasks.
