On the training ground of Regiment 335, banners and posters brightly illuminated the entire area. Slogans like "Sweat on the training ground, less bloodshed on the battlefield," and "Overcoming the sun and rain, enthusiastically practicing" further motivated the new recruits to train diligently. On the runway and internal concrete roads, the new recruits diligently practiced drill commands: "March in step!", "Look to the right and salute!"... The command was loud and clear; the soldiers' movements were precise and aesthetically pleasing.
Not far away, a unit of new recruits was actively practicing shooting. The clicking of the bolt handle, the hammer striking the firing pin, and the commander's commands created a lively atmosphere on the training ground. Speaking with us, Private Duong Phuc Hieu, a soldier in Platoon 11, Company 4, Battalion 4, confidently shared: “This stage is nearing the final exam for the three explosives subjects, so we have to train intensely. Despite the difficulties and hardships, I promise to strive and train hard, achieving the highest possible results in the final exams, especially the three explosives subjects.”
Meanwhile, at Battalion 3, Regiment 1, observing the recoilless rifle gunners, Co82 and 12.7mm gun crews, and B40 firepower personnel practicing target practice, we saw that the soldiers' movements were quick, precise, and their coordination was seamless and rhythmic. Major Nguyen Tuan Anh, Battalion Commander of Battalion 3, shared: “Assigned to the Regiment's combat duty, in addition to maintaining the unit's strict adherence to combat readiness regulations, we focus on training our troops to skillfully use and master the weapons and equipment in their inventory; we regularly practice combat readiness plans to ensure that our troops are always ready to receive and successfully complete assigned tasks, avoiding passivity and surprise in any situation.”
Not only at Regiment 335 and Regiment 1, but also at all agencies and units within Division 324, we witnessed a vibrant atmosphere of emulation. According to Lieutenant Colonel Pham Le Tuan, Deputy Division Commander and Chief of Staff of Division 324, to build determination among officers and soldiers to successfully complete training and combat readiness tasks, the Division focuses on organizing education and thoroughly disseminating training orders and plans; launching emulation movements with specific contents and targets, with all collectives and individuals making commitments to implement them. At the same time, it continues to innovate and comprehensively improve the quality of training for all personnel according to the motto "Basic, practical, and solid," emphasizing synchronized and in-depth training; and promoting activities to encourage participation in training grounds and military games, creating a lively atmosphere of emulation.
In addition, the unit has invested in strengthening training grounds, practice areas, and training models. It has encouraged officers and soldiers to actively research innovative ideas and improve techniques to enhance training quality. It has maintained and strictly implemented training routines and regulations, combining combat training with political education, building a disciplined and professional force. It has also consistently cared for the material and spiritual well-being of the troops… As a result, after more than two months of training, officers and soldiers are confident in their work, have a good understanding of their duties, have a firm grasp of the training content, and have ensured absolute safety.
