Thus, students born in 2008 will "finish the race" with Mathematics, a subject with a weighting factor of 2 and which will determine the final results of the Hanoi public high school entrance exam for the 2023-2024 school year.

With the relatively easy Literature and English exams yesterday, June 10th, many students expressed their hope for an "easier" Math exam today.

According to an announcement from the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, the number of candidates registered to take the exam citywide was 115,651. However, 594 candidates were absent from the Literature exam on the morning of June 10th and 609 candidates were absent from the Foreign Language exam on the afternoon of June 10th.

Therefore, the actual number of candidates who participated in the mathematics exam was only 115,042.

This year, Hanoi has allocated nearly 72,000 places for 10th grade in public schools. Of these, 69,805 places are for non-specialized programs. The competition ratio for non-specialized programs is 1/1.5.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training is expected to announce the exam results no later than July 4th.

The exam score is calculated using the formula: Literature score x 2 + Math score x 2 + Foreign language score. In the 2022 exam, Chu Van An High School led in the cutoff score with 43.25.
