Recently, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo shared information that the iPhone 17 generation will use the Wi-Fi 7 chip developed by Apple itself.
According to Kuo, the iPhone 17 generation and other Apple devices launching from late 2025 onwards will feature Apple's own Wi-Fi 7 chip, as part of a shift away from third-party suppliers.

This chip will replace the Broadcom chip that Apple is currently using for WiFi and Bluetooth. Previous leaks also revealed that Apple's WiFi 7 chip will be manufactured using TSMC's 7nm process.
Additionally, Apple is reportedly researching 5G chips and will begin using them in its products starting next year. Accordingly, the iPhone SE 4 will be the first device from Apple to integrate the 5G chip developed by the company itself.
According to The Information , Apple is also using a factory in India for the initial production of the iPhone 17 generation.
The first phase of the product development process typically takes place between May and October. During this phase, Apple seeks to transform a prototype designed at its Cupertino headquarters into a tangible product that can be mass-produced.
Previously, this stage was only carried out in factories in China. This is the first time Apple has implemented this process in India. This move represents a significant step forward for the iPhone manufacturer in reducing its reliance on factories in China.
Apple currently uses Broadcom's Wi-Fi chips, both of which are embroiled in a dispute with Caltech. The court previously ordered Apple to pay $838 million and Broadcom $270 million for Wi-Fi patent infringement, but the lawsuit was dropped after the parties reached a mutual agreement.
