Exactly three years have passed since the German national team's 0-2 defeat to England in the Round of 16 of the previous European Championship, shattering coach Joachim Löw's dream of winning the title. But now, history may be rewritten. In recent days, German fans have a new song: "Berlin, Berlin, we will go to Berlin." German supporters sing this line whenever they gather in fan zones.
However, summer in Germany is not very kind to the home fans. Scorching sun is immediately followed by torrential rains, thunderstorms, and tornadoes. These rains, including hailstorms, forced police to close several fan zones in Dortmund, as well as fan areas in Berlin, Cologne, Düsseldorf, and Gelsenkirchen, leaving many fans disappointed.

In Dortmund, up to 80,000 Turkish fans were expected to gather at fan zones in Friedensplatz and Westfalenpark to watch their national team play against Georgia. However, due to a weather warning, city authorities issued a notice suspending outdoor activities. Authorities advised fans without tickets to watch the match at home.
Martin Sauer, Dortmund's representative at the Euros, said: "Dortmund had prepared a football feast for Turkish and Georgian fans. Unfortunately, this event could not take place, as the safety of fans in the city is our top priority."
