According to initial information, on the morning of April 28th, LVN and PVL (both residing in Tan An commune, Nghe An province) were using a gas cylinder to roast dog meat. The gas cylinder was placed near a fire source, and when the valve was opened, the gas spurted out and ignited the flames, causing both of them to suffer direct burns.
The patient was diagnosed with burns to the head, face, neck, and limbs, with the total affected area covering approximately 38% of the body.
The victim intentionally poured gasoline on the burned area, making the wound worse and increasing the risk of infection and complications.
Upon receiving the patient, Tan Ky Medical Center provided emergency care and treated the injuries according to protocol, while closely monitoring the patient's condition to prevent burn shock and other dangerous complications.
Following this incident, doctors advise people to absolutely avoid using gas cylinders to burn or roast food. Placing gas cylinders near heat sources or using them incorrectly poses a very high risk of fire and explosion.
In the event of a burn, quickly cool the affected area with clean water for 15-20 minutes, then take the person to a medical facility for emergency treatment. Absolutely do not apply substances such as gasoline, oil, fish sauce, or toothpaste on your own.
